Established in 1971, Cacao has been dedicated to the preservation of CFA registered purebred Persians, Himalayans, American Shorthairs & American Wirehairs bred to the written standard with health & sweet personalities prioritized.
We have really been behind on getting pictures of our babies coming up ready for new homes! These beauties will steal your heart! These kittens are all not for breeding, but two (the cream tabby & white and the cameo tabby & white) might be fun to show as neuters in the premiership/alter class! PM us!

This amazing goofball finished in his second show at just 8 months of age. He’s so much fun, we are going to keep showing him for a while. Be prepared for laughs if you see him in the ring! Our thanks to all the judges for putting up with his antics! (Including stealing an earring!)
Another brag - he’s Grand #7 for his dad in less than a year’s time. Wow! Yeet (GC, NW Cacao Intrusive Thoughts) is really producing some truly stunning babies.

While we thought we were ending our American Shorthair program, fate had other plans. Introducing Cacao Rockette. At just four months old, she made every final at her first show including a BEST. She’s maybe a little spoiled.
What an amazing show we attended last weekend in Springfield, MO! Our congrats on the Midwest Region / Show Me Cat Fanciers for bringing back CFA to a city that has long been without. Hotel shows are the best!

We had a very busy and super exciting year! We set out with a goal of granding quite a few cats – we didn’t quite Grand as many as we had dreamed we might, but we did have an amazing number that did grand! This was certainly the most we have ever granded ourselves!

We traveled over 800 miles to a lovely show in Springfield, Il hoping to add some more grand points to some champions - which we did - but we also were delighted to have Rogue do exceptionally well and finish her Grand title!
Rogue is the 5th Grand Champion produced by GC, NW Cacao Intrusive Thoughts this season! And she is the astonishing 11th Grand for her mother. GC, RW Cacao Coral Rose, DM.

Another set of littermates! This is GC Cacao Hasty and GC Cacao Capricious! Out of GC NW Cacao Intrusive Thoughts X CH Cacao Impetuous. Hasty has been doing so well as a GC, holding his own very well against National level competition! Hasty is now living in his new home. Capricious will be staying with us. They have another sister, not pictured, Cacao Whimsical, a silver tabby & white, that is also not going to stay here and would make great addition for someone needing to add size and coat!

Have you ever wanted a cat that maybe thought it was a spider monkey? Or a beautiful Exotic Shorthair with the personality of a Cornish Rex? Allow me to introduce you to Hustle, a five year Exotic spay who really needs a very special home. Hustle has no health concerns, but she does need someone who wants a cat who is in their business most of the time. She is very athletic. She also knows how to fetch (though, like a cat, she does it when she feels like it). While she does get along with other cats, her boisterous behaviors sometimes causes some friction. She loves most dogs, but any home with a dog must have already acclimatized that dog to cats as she might be a bit too much for a dog who has never met a cat. Don’t get us wrong - we absolutely love Hustle, but would love to find her a home that is a better fit. We are going to be super picky!

Imp is a beautiful blue patched tabby and white - littermate to GC NW Cacao Intrusive Thoughts (Yeet) and older full sib to the recent new grand GC Cacao Scented Garden. She is grand #8 for both parents! She will stay with us as a forever bed kitty (motherhood was not something she liked).
Oddy is our first show quality Himalayan we have produced in years! Our program kinda stalled and the male we really thought would be the next step took 5 years to breed! But Oddy was worth the wait!

Foxglove granded with judge Vicki Nye - and he was her Best Allbreed Cat in premiership!
We made a long trip last weekend to beautiful Nashville with our grand Feckless and three open females (Insta, Petty, and Tisket). We knew it would be a competitive show and that is exactly what it was! We are very happy to report all three girls made grand points! Even more exciting, Feckless made FOUR best cats, 3 seconds, and a third! He was Highest scoring cat in show at one of this seasons highest count shows! To say we are floored and so honored the judges found Feckless worthy is an understatement!!!! The competition was super stiff, but we are happy to report the level of good sportsmanship was high. What an amazing show! Here is a video of Feckless in one of his finals!
Fantastic show this past weekend in Huntsville! We took five cats and all five picked up some finals! Cacao Fickle (in the video getting a BEST Allbreed kitten from judge Bev Wood) made all the finals and was highest scoring kitten in show! Cacao Storm Dancer concluded her kitten career with 9 finals (two Bests!) Cacao Kokomo picked up some more grand points against some incredible competition in the bicolor class. Cacao Android, an odd-eye white American Shorthair neuter, had his show debut and made two finals (plus had a lot of fun and entertained many exhibitors with his sweet exuberance). (He is looking for some new humans to spoil him). And finally, Cacao Louis Barstow (blue silver tabby and white) made his show debut in the premiership class and became a one show grand! He also got to go to a wonderful new home with his new mom, Martha of Jotom Persians.
We had an awesome show this weekend in Houston! We took five cats! Phew that’s a lot of work. Our gratitude and thanks to the judges for recognizing our babies. We had Yeet (he’s back!) who made every final! Lincoln, our red boy, made a nice chunk of grand points! Hibiscus, our black ch girl, didn’t make any points but she had fun! Ghost Rider our kitten made 7 finals!!! And finally, Sardonyx debuted in premiership and made all 10 finals and is almost a grand! He even got a Best Cat!!!!

*UPDATE* Yeet was highest scoring cat in Championship! We were blessed with another amazing show, this weekend in Huntsville, TX. Our sweet and very busy ‘Yeet’ made all the finals, including five Best cats!!! And we debuted brown tabby & white boy in championship, Cacao Root Beer, who made four finals and is well over half way to his grand champion title!! Our thanks to all the judges!!! Third video!! (For some reason I can only add one video to each post, so that’s why multiple posts). Another boy making his show debut, Cacao Whiskey Sour. He is a silver tabby and white, and yes, he is a son of our GC NW Cacao Whiskey In The Water. He made only two finals, but he was Best Allbreed Champion in both!!! And he was Best Cat Allbreed in one!!! There were so many beautiful cats at this show, we didn’t envy the hard work the judges had to do to pick their top cats. We are sincerely grateful for the wins we achieved!!
2nd video! This was the first show for RW Augustjoy Reckless Abandon of Cacao. And even though it’s been a few months since her last show, she still did shine!!! She made every final on Saturday, including a BEST CAT Allbreed! And she accumulated enough points to be a Grand Champion by the fourth ring! She competed on Sunday as a GC and made three more finals!!! Overall she finished 5th highest scoring in show! Wow! Our thanks and gratitude again to Joy Baird for letting us own this beauty and to the judges! ‘Abby’ is retiring from the show ring - we hope for beautiful babies from her later this year.

A little while ago we introduced you to Augustjoy Reckless Abandon of Cacao. Last weekend we introduced her to her first show and wow! She made quite an impression! Three Allbreed Best Kittens! And three 2nd Best!! Wow!!! Highest scoring kitten in show!! We love this girl and we’re so happy to find the judges loved her too. Our deepest gratitude to Augustjoy Persians for letting us own this amazing girl. (Here is a video of her first final with judge Darrell Newkirk).
