Not sure how I missed this the last few years, Xylitol may be marketed as birch sugar on your packaging. This is because People are now realizing that fake sugars are not the best.

Remember Xylitol/Birch Sugar is toxic for dogs, They're putting it in peanut butter, keto and many medicines so read your products closely.

If you have kids just don't have this product in Common food. As you can't ensure they won't share with the family dog.

Not all dog owners recognize potentially dangerous Xylitol when it is listed under other names.

We really Love taking care of all the frenchies and pugs here at mystic mountain. But at the same time, we are very sad about how deformed they are. This is a great article about how some breeders are trying to keep the good parts of the frenchie, but make them healthier.

The ice is clinging to everything but we're in a warming trend and I'm actually glad it's warming slowly as it's better for the trees so they won't break as quickly.

We did have a tree go down on the lines on Ben Howard road, blew out a transformer but PUD is down there fixing it and we have our generators going so all is good here.

Our road should be back to normal tomorrow as we did lots of plowing and salting the last couple days so the melt should go pretty quickly. It's great to have such amazing neighbors who help with everybody up here.

Now we have the ice rain... Hoping it's going to warm up quickly but that may take another day.

Dogs are all safe and sound in the heated dog area and we are limit outside access to the back area that has a cover and more secure footing.

Everybody stay safe out there till this storm is completely over.

Just a little bit chilly here at the ranch at 17 degrees, the pups are staying warm in the dog barn and having some fun in the field.

Our hill has been plowed and salted so its pretty safe, I hear the Ben Howard is icy so everyone needs to drive slow.

We play music for the pups here at Mystic and yes it helps create a calming atmosphere :)

Can you use music to help your dog relax when he's feeling anxious, tense or frightened? This type of music emerged as the clear winner in this shelter of 50 dogs to help them calm down and rest. Not a fan? This other type calmed about 85% of dogs in a home setting and more than half fell asleep.
