Here’s Etta learning how to heel on walks. As a heavily reinforced behavior, heel can be a great alternative behavior to pulling towards distractions!

Short background on Etta; her owner called me for guidance on purchasing a dog. She was inspired by a friend’s terrier and wanted a similar dog, so she did her research and picked out both a breeder and trainer before getting her dog! She purchased Etta, a young Smooth Fox Terrier from a responsible breeder and has been working with her ever since, calling Etta the perfect dog for her! Their story just goes to show how being prepared, responsible and researched can pay off 🫶🏻

Updating our social media with dogs we’ve worked with! Up first: Obi.
Obi was acquired to train through our service dog program. Due to not finding placement (no fault of his own) he instead found a family home where he has all the affection he could possibly want!

I have witnessed too many accidents with off leash dogs. Please be responsible and advocate for your dog in dangerous situations!

Casual reminder that dogs are to be on leash at all times unless in a designated off leash area or private property.

If there is ever an altercation with a leashed dog and an off leash dog, the off leash dog will always be considered at fault. Please obey local bylaws for everyone’s safety.
