Over the last month we fostered a puppy from Little Victories. Hank was recovering from a leg amputation and needed a place to heal. We loved our time with this boy, but we are so happy to say he’s found his furever home!!

During his stay, he became best buds with my tripod Trip. They did everything together, having three legs sure didn’t slow them down!

Love a good story with a happy ending! Thank you for everything you all do for the rescues in our area! 🐾

Happy first birthday to my three legged angel pup (or the day we’ve chosen for him 🤣), my little pinto bean, Trip!

Trip was my foster puppy from Little Victories and he stole my heart the second I saw his photo. This fella makes me so happy! The amount of sleeping photos I have of him is ridiculous. He’s added so much to our lives this year, we love him! 🐾 ♥️

I know some of you were interested in seeing pictures from our travels, so feel free to follow my travel instagram

My husband and I will be in the South Island of New Zealand and then heading up the eastern coast of Australia in a campervan. 🦘

Depending on the circumstances, I might not be posting anything to the travel page until after we return. I plan to be off social media as much as possible, but I might hop on just to share some pictures…

Last month, Aleu and I had the privilege of attending the Movement Markers tm Clinic in Virginia. It was 3 full days of learning. In a very short summary the clinic was about how a dog’s movement and body can show us so much about their behavior and health. I learned a ton over that weekend and also realized there’s so much more to learn. Maryna shared so much knowledge and insight with us. I enjoyed being able to learn from her and from everyone in the group. It was an incredible opportunity and she is someone who I’d love to learn from again.

Aleu came along and did her part well. Before attending the clinic, we had to practice a few things that would be required for her to be able to do. This was her first stay at a hotel and joining on an educational weekend with me. I wouldn’t say she loved the weekend, since she was limited in her typical daily routine-even with the 2 walks a day-but I was able to learn more ways to help care for her body and to pay attention more to my client’s dogs so they can feel better and in turn, learn better. So big thanks to Aleu!

A little about me

Hello and thank you for viewing my page!

I, Destiny Stratton, wanted to share some information about myself for those who may not know me. I have had a passion for animals my entire life and knew they would be part of my career choice. I started my path at Mars Hill University and received my bachelors degree in Zoology. My original plan was to work as a zookeeper, which I accomplished when I moved to Alaska for a year and worked as an animal keeper there. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much. Alaska gave me my first exposure to animal training where I began to train Alaskan native animals for behaviors that would benefit them for veterinary check ups and just their overall well-being. This is when I learned the amazing benefits training could have on the relationship with you and the animal and I knew this is something I wanted to continue. After leaving Alaska I wanted to expanded my training knowledge, but this time with the focus on dogs. I attended National K-9 School for Dog Trainers in Ohio and learned about the amazing things dogs are capable of doing and how to accomplish the goals one has for their dog. Dog training is definitely a process, but it can have a huge impact on your life with your dog and better your dog’s life. I have fallen in love with dog training and want to share my knowledge with others. I am a Certified Professional Trainer, so let me help you and your dog out! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. I offer a free evaluation with you and your dog where we can discuss issues you may be having, your goals for your dog, and how we can accomplish those goals. I look forward to helping you out!
