I am the CEO and primary Dog Trainer for Paws for Purpose and Play . I am a certified dog trainer through the Animal Behavior College (ABC) . ABC is an internally recognized school approved through the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education.
My education includes: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Post Graduate courses in Social Work .This academic background was the foundation for working with families who needed to learn how to develop positive behavioral support plans for persons with developmental delays. Helping families was my life’s work and now serves as the cornerstone for working with you to create a powerful and loving connection with the dog in your family.
I am fluent in American Sign Language which has enabled me to read the nonverbal communication that is called DOG SPEAK. Dog speak is the innate language of your dog including their capacity , as visual learners , to understand your communication.
My training philosophy is based on positive reinforcement and tested positive training methods . I have the expertise required to effectively and humanely train your dog . I am able to recognize your dog’s key motivators to keep them active and having fun while they are learning new behaviors . I firmly believe your investment in training will be rewarded in years of valued companionship with your pet , learning new things at every stage and every age.
