As we gear up for a new school year, we’ve updated the horse riding lesson times on our website—please check them out!

We’re also excited to announce a **Back to School Photo Shoot Day**! If your child would like to get a picture with a horse, we’re offering a special package deal for this event.

Additionally, to celebrate the start of the school year, all current students can enjoy trail rides throughout September—let’s get out of the barn and have some fun!

Meet Melissa! One of our amazing instructors out at the ranch.

Melissa has grown up riding and showing horses at a very young age. She has shown in a wide variety of disciplines including English, Western Pleasure, Trail, Ranch riding and Reining. She has traveled around Texas and Washington to help gain her experience and is happy to help teach all ages and levels.

Hey everyone, Serena Robinson here!

Thanks for your patience in this period of transition. I’m very excited to announce that beginning next month, I’ll be back giving horseback riding lessons (alongside several talented instructors) at two new locations around Chico. All the information you’ll need is available on my new website (link below) but for now, suffice to say, I can’t wait to get back to working with all of you! I’m really looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and can’t wait to meet new people! If you have any questions for me, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email at [email protected].

Of course, we’re all going to miss riding at the beautiful Rock N Oak Ranch BUT the good news is that there will still be events like tailgating concerts and sunset yoga (just to name a few), organized by the wonderful Jen Dixon! If you’d like to stay in-the-know, please follow them on Instagram and keep your eyes peeled for a new page (I’ll be sure to post it here when it’s up and running).

Thanks again for sticking with us during this time and I can’t wait to see you soon!

Hey Rock ‘n’ Oak community! Unfortunately, as of June 1, Rock ‘n’ Oak Ranch will be closing it’s doors at the 90 Nicalog Road location. We were recently informed that the land the ranch is situated on is going up for sale and are currently in the process of looking into potential new locations which will allow us to continue to provide our clients with an enthusiastic, safe, and informative riding experience.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes and greatly appreciate your support over these past years. Serena Robinson will maintain operations as the sole head of the company and we hope to resume lessons, trail rides, and camps by autumn. In the meantime, please stay up to date with new developments by checking our website periodically or sending us an email with any questions you may have. One of the most common questions that we get is "can my child take lessons if they're under 6?" As of today, the answer is yes!

We are SUPER excited to announce our new Tiny Trots Session! A weekly, month-long class aimed at building a foundation of the basics of horse safety, handling, grooming, and an introduction to riding. It's perfect for our littlest riders (ages 2.5-6) and a great way to get out from in front of the screens and spend some quality time with each other outdoors each week.

Covid-precautions will be in place and sessions will be capped at 4 riders, their parents/guardians, and 2 instructors. Our first session kicks off April 9th. You can reserve your spot now or read more on our website. We'll see you out there! 🐎
