Horses teach my students to become caretakers attending to the needs of the horse often before their own. This is so valuable in a world of modern interaction. The exposure of each other's authentic appearance and perspective is decreased through the use of cell phones, tablets, and computers. The opportunity to work with horses enhances their ability to empathize with all living creatures, leading to understanding and communicating better with others. 🐎🐎❤️ Horses are first - rate educators ❤️🐎🐎

As we gear up for a new school year, we’ve updated the horse riding lesson times on our website—please check them out!

We’re also excited to announce a **Back to School Photo Shoot Day**! If your child would like to get a picture with a horse, we’re offering a special package deal for this event.

Additionally, to celebrate the start of the school year, all current students can enjoy trail rides throughout September—let’s get out of the barn and have some fun!

Breaking Ground on Rock ‘n’ Oak Ranch

Rock ‘n’ Oak recently got its start when the Dixon family, new to the world of equine, needed someone to help them learn the ropes of horse care and western riding. Their search caused them to stumble into a friendship with an experienced equine enthusiast, Bre. Riding lessons began and soon they found themselves touring the Dixon’s thousands of beautiful acres, dreaming up what could be, and making plans for something grand. Without hesitation, the Dixons busted out the heavy equipment and made way for an arena, round pen, pasture pens, roads, camp sites, and event venues. As the partnership grew stronger, Rock ‘n’ Oak Ranch incorporated, and Bre moved up to the property. Development of the ranch continues with the help of long time friend and partner, Serena. The team is excited to open their doors this spring and can’t wait to share all they have been working on with the Chico community.
