Need to update your dog’s rabies vaccine ahead of licensing?

Our first Pet Wellness Clinic of 2025 is being held right at the GAHS this Saturday, January 18th from 9-11 am. To accommodate the clinic, the GAHS will be OPENING FOR REGULAR OPERATIONS AT 12pm.

We will be offering free core vaccines (thanks to Petco Love foundation) for both dogs and cats. Rabies vaccines are available for $20. If you bring proof of a prior vaccine, you can get a 3-year rabies vaccine. Bordatella vaccines for dogs are available for $10.

Microchips will be available for $20 and are truly priceless when it comes to reuniting with a lost companion.

Please follow the signs near the front entrance to sign in when you arrive. Our staff and volunteers will direct you when it’s your time to come in to see the Vet Team. Please have your dogs on leash and collar; all cats need to be in carriers.

Our pet wellness clinics are intended to serve pets owned by families in need, for the purpose of keeping pets healthy and in their existing home. Breeders and those intending to profit from rehoming pets do not qualify for these services.

Biddeford is canceled for tomorrow, Saturday, December 7th. Please message us to arrange a time to pick up donations at The Bark Yard during the week. By appointment only.

Steep Falls will be next Sunday, December 16, instead of this Sunday (Dec 8).

Our supplies are very low. If you are able, we would very much appreciate donations!

😩 Our pet food pantry is empty.

Not only do we need food for the 4 saved dogs arriving this weekend...
..but our free pet food pantry distributes food to struggling pet parents in 3-4 different locations every month...

Join us for our LOW-COST Rabies Clinic! Hosted by the YCCC Vet Tech Club and the Wells Police Department Animal Control.
WHEN: Saturday, April 20th from 9 AM - NOON
WHERE: YCCC, 112 College Drive, Wells, Maine 04090
WHO: Any dog or cat over the age of 3 months old
COST: $10 Per Animal (CASH ONLY)
All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier. This is a student-run event and we reserve the right to decline vaccinating if pets show signs of aggression, including but not limited to growling, hissing, or lunging.
