☀️ With temperatures rising this holiday 🎇 🎆 week we recommend taking a few precautions when enjoying summer with your pets ☀️

💦 Make sure water bowls are filled with fresh water, add ice cubes to the bowl, bring collapsible water bowls when out walking💦

🌙 Take a walk at dusk or the early morning to avoid the day’s hottest temperatures 🌙

🏠 Bring pets indoors during extreme heat. If it is not possible to bring outdoor pets inside make sure they have access to shade, water- maybe even a kiddie pool or set up a portable fan. Patio misters are also a great way to cool the yard🏠

We are excited to announce we will have a board certified Ophthalmologist coming to our practice once a month to see cases! Dr Pate’s first date with us is this Thursday the 18th. Please call us if you would like to set up an appointment to have your pet seen by an opthomologist. What an incredible opportunity!!

Happy Vet Tech week to our wonderful Techs Kelly, Lauren, Lynzi, Nicole, Summer and Taylor! They are the faces you see along side our doctors, helping them every step of the way. They stand by your side whether it is a happy visit or the hardest visit you’ll have. They make sure your pet has the most pleasant time while staying here in our hospital for the day or for extended treatments. We could go on and on about how special these girls are to the hospital but we’ll settle with, Thank you for all that you do!

We wanted to thank everyone that has donated items thus far to be taken to Florida in an effort to help with the relief from Hurricane Ian.

We are continuing to collect items until Friday afternoon. There is still plenty of time if you would like to bring non-perishable items, water, dog/cat food, toiletries or any items you believe could be helpful to those in need.

A wonderful client has volunteered to take some supplies to those in need in Florida. Help us gather canned goods and bottled water to send with them. We will be collecting until next Friday.

The Canine Influenza Vaccine is required for all daycare dogs effective immediately. The vaccine will be required of all boarding dogs starting Jan 1, 2023. We recommend going ahead and vaccinating your dog now!

Reminder for everyone to keep your pets safe in this heat. Animals can suffer heat strokes very easily in temperatures like these.
For those that live outside, ensure they have shade and plenty of fresh clean water if bringing them in to a cool place is not an option.
