ate with local shelters in an effort to relieve over-crowding by identifying and adopting out shelter cats into appropriate, permanent living situations.

Does anyone remember our plea in late July for a foster for mama cat "Blue" that was about to give birth? Unfortunately no foster was secured in time & within 24-hours of that post we believe she gave birth off in the woods as she disappeared for a few days. When she returned she was thinner and no kittens to be found.

The homeowner & now wonderful foster have been looking extremely hard to find the kittens on his extremely wooded property to no avail. Then last night Blue & 1 of her babies came up on their deck! They now believe mom has moved the kittens under the deck, so they set up traps & pretty quickly caught the first fluffy gray baby! 🎉

At breakfast time this morning they caught mama Blue! 🎉

The mission continues to trap the rest of her babies & reunite them in safety & begin to socialize the approximately 6-week old kittens. Kitten traps are set & an audio recording of a mama cat calling out to her kittens are set... Now for the rest of the babies to come out. Wish us luck! 🍀

You can see that Quest & Ellipsis are extremely relieved to be back in rescue & are feeling SOO much better with full bellies & a soft, comfortable, safe place to sleep! (Tap on pictures to see full collages.)

After a Vitamin B-12 injection, 6 days on Immuquin, & 6 days on Clavamox antibiotics, Quest's URI is looking SOO much better having been on meds this past week!

This afternoon they go to the vet for check-ups & most likely both will have to start a course of Doxycycline due to the tick infestation. Wish them luck!

CONGRATULATIONS to Tater Tot for finding his fur-ever home! His new paw-rents are head over heels in love with him and he will have a 6-month old brother... We couldn't be happier for him! Happy tails sweet boy!! 😻

WOOHOO!! I got the giant tick 💩-head off Ellipsis!!! (please pardon my French)

This tick was embedded really DEEP into his skin yesterday to where it was a risk to remove as the tick was so engorged that the tweezers could not get down to the head & probably would have inadvertently squeezed it's body, releasing saliva & possibly tick-borne disease. I definitely think the Revolution Plus helped the tick to back out just enough that the tweezers could grab him near the head!

Given the high risk of tick-borne disease (such as Lyme or Ehrlichiosis) to both Ellipsis & Quest (who had TONS of seed ticks), a vet visit to get a prescription of Doxycycline will be in their future.

What a week!! We are so excited to share the fabulous news that Quest was spotted & trapped/rescued on Monday, 9/1, then on Tuesday we received a sighting on Ellipsis and yesterday, Thursday 9/4 he was trapped/rescued!!! WOOHOO! Many huge thanks to the neighbors that reported sightings and to those that helped us bring these babies to safety! ❤️

Ellipsis is overall doing well from his 10-day adventure. As expected, he was very hungry, but no major issues found. He has a couple patches of missing fur & a huge, super engorged deeply embedded tick that may require veterinary intervention if it doesn't back out from the Revolution Plus we applied. Praying it does!

Quest was extremely dehydrated and very thin... During her 3-week adventure she lost 2 pounds, going from 8.5 # down to 6.5 #. Quest is battling an upper respiratory infection /herpes virus flare-up so is on medication for that, as well as her Revolution Plus is working overtime... In the initial 48 hours since applying it there must have been over 100 seed ticks that have come off her, and more are still dying off! She also has some healing paw pads that we suspect were probably burned on concrete/asphalt during those 3 weeks of intense hot August heat.

We set up a camera to observe them in their "safe room" and both babies looked so happy to be sleeping back on a soft, comfortable, & SAFE bed! It was heartwarming to see their bodies relax into their beds & lay their heads down and close their eyes... they looked like it was the first time they've had a good night's sleep in a while!

We are so relieved that both Quest & Ellipsis are safe & sound again! 🎉

Many HUGE thanks to residents in The Preserve on Aquia Creek neighborhood off Dunbar Drive... Shortly after their community shared our post this evening about Quest & Ellipsis missing we received 2 reports of sightings of Quest. We went back over to the house with the most recent sighting & there she was! With the help of a resident we were able to catch Quest who has been missing for several weeks! Petite Quest is now safe & sound!!WAHOO!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Her brother is still missing, so please keep your eyes open & let us know of any sightings of him. Praying he is found soon. 🙏

⚠️ EMERGENCY: ESCAPED FOSTER CATS ⚠️
📍 Location: Dunbar Drive (between Tacketts Mill Rd & Rock Hill Church Rd, North Stafford, Virginia)

Indoor Only & Microchipped

Two sibling foster cats have escaped during separate family medical emergencies, and we desperately need the community’s help to bring them home safe!

🐾 Quest (pictured bottom right) – Missing since Monday, 8/11. (Was immediately posted separately in a different post when she escaped.)
While traps & cameras have been set, there have sadly been no sightings of her since she first went missing.

🐾 Ellipsis (pictured top left) – Escaped on Monday, 8/25 during another medical emergency.

👉 If you live nearby, please check under decks, porches, sheds, garages, and bushes. Cats often hide close to where they slipped out, especially when scared.
🌙 Best times to look: early morning and late evening, especially during the quiet periods of dusk and dawn. Cats are crepuscular, meaning they are most active during these times.
🔦 Use a flashlight after sundown to catch the reflection of their eyes.

If you see either cat, please do NOT chase, call out, or try to grab them. Lost cats are often scared and may bolt if approached.

✅ Stay calm and keep eyes on them from a distance.
✅ Note the exact location, time, and direction they were heading.

✅ If safe, take a quick photo or video to help confirm identity.

⚠️ Even if they are your neighbors’ foster cats, they may not come to you—let the rescue team set traps and use safe recovery methods.

Her foster dad saw it and was like, "she would not survive in the wild 🤣 (haha) but luckily she'll never need to! LOL"

🚨 URGENT: Foster Needed for wounded & sick Siamese cat!
🚨 PLEASE SHARE
Homeowner reports that this is a very friendly boy that has been seen wandering around her neighborhood for months & the past 3 days it has been at her house where she can now see wounds on both sides of the body that bleed.

Since we do not have a facility we need someone to step up to volunteer to foster this cat so we can help it get medical care & then adopted once healthy.

One of our local vet hospitals called about 2 sick kittens that were dropped off there this morning & asked if P&W could take them in, but we're out of fosters 😭... Anyone up for fostering??
