TODAY'S "CAT OF THE DAY"... MEET TYPHOON

Age/DOB: 4-1-2021

HI, I’m Typhoon! I’m part of the “Naturals” litter (Me, Tsunami, Tornado, Hurricane and Monsoon)! So far Hurricane, Tornado,Monsoon and Tsunami have been adopted and now I’m hoping it’s my turn. My littermates and I came to Purrs & Whiskers (P&W) a little later than most kittens (4/5 mons old), so we have had a bit of a long road adjusting to life inside when it comes to living with hoomans. We are all sweet cats, certified as Master Litter Box users, and definitely love a good Churu cat treat.

I am a bit shy & a little quirky, but a sweet girl just the same. I am still learning to trust being “boldly” approached by you hooman types, but I am constantly close to my foster mom when she is around! I always have to sniff her shoes before she comes into our room ! =) I love to be pet, but I’m super cautious about letting hoomans do that! However, if it’s time to eat or you have my favorite treat, then you can certainly pet me and even get a head bump or two from me. I don’t bite, scratch or hiss, I just kind of hang in the background hoping I’ll have the courage to let you pet me. There are a few other foster kitties with me right now and they are much more outgoing than I am, so they are always vying for attention, and that makes me a bit nervous. But if it’s dinner time, trust me, I’m there and looking at you and telling you I am ready to eat!

My purrfect home would be with Pumpkin and it would be a quiet home with some empty nesters or a single person that doesn’t have small children in his/her immediate future plans. I don’t have to have a kitty friend, but it is always nice to have someone around who “speaks your language”! I would be fine with other cats as long as we have proper introductions (I am fostered with several right now) and maybe a dog or two (if they aren’t too rambunctious). I know it’s asking a lot for someone to take a serious look at me to be part of their family or be their companion, but my foster mom thinks that in the right home, I will flourish and be that kitty you would love to have! If you think you are that person or couple that would be willing to take a chance on me, please fill out an app and so you can meet me!! I’m really hoping for a furever home so I can finally be settled, happy and home for the holidays!

HI! I’m Fenway, named after the ballpark just like my siblings – Oracle, Wrigley and Camden. I am one spunky little girl that would love to find a furever loving home that is willing to take on all my playfulness and crazy, fun-loving behavior! I’m affectionate too and I love to be held like a baby! I’m that kitty that could really hit a home run with you if you give me a spot in the lineup or at least a meet & greet just so you can see how great I am! I definitely would love another kitty friend, whether it be one of my siblings or a kitty that you already have at home. I get along great with the adult cats in my foster home. Hi, I’m Wrigley, one of the ballpark kitties! There’s also Fenway, Camden & Oracle. I’m a cute little porch panther that would love to find a furever home with a great pet parent and/or family! Maybe even a kitty friend or two! I get along great with the other cats and kittens in “foster care” and we have a blast running all over! I’m super playful and can make a toy out of just about anything! I have a great purrsonality and although I haven’t met any, I would probably get along great with kids or dogs too. Of course, that would be after we have been probably introduced. What I really like though, is just chasing my siblings around and playing tackle. TODAY'S "CAT OF THE DAY".. MEET TRACY

Hi, I’m Tracy! I’m a sweet girl who loves to lounge around with my peeps! I particularly seem to like the men in the house! I was originally a P&W kitty who was adopted out. Apparently they weren’t the best of parents and frequently let me outside. Unfortunately, since they let me outside I am now FIV positive. Don't worry, most cats with FIV lead normal, healthy lives and show no symptoms for many years (if ever at all). I am healthy & you just need to be aware that if I were to ever become ill someday, your vet will need to know to help me stay healthy.

Anyway, one day in November 2023 I decided to run away and apparently they never even looked for me. I ended up in a cat colony nearby where I could at least find food. I was out all winter and it was cold. Finally a lady that cares for & feeds a group of community cats at a shopping center trapped me in one of her traps because she saw I didn’t have the traditional ear tip that feral kitties get when they are spayed/neutered. She quickly realized not only was I friendly, I was spayed AND microchipped! THANK YOU P&W for microchipping me! My previous parents hadn’t even registered me under their name. So, P&W was called to let them know I was found! They checked me over and took me to the vet: while my 3rd/inner eyelids are raised & I sometimes get clear eye discharge, the vet said that daily Lysine supplement is good for me, that I am healthy, and now I’m ready for my new, loving, responsible family!

I am a little bit on the shy side, so I would prefer a calm, quiet home where I will know that I am safe and can sleep on your bed snuggled against you or between your legs.

I am spayed, tested negative for FeLV & positive for FIV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.
