Due to staff shortage on April 20th our feral clinic was re-scheduled for June. Therefore, we have no openings to sign up for on May 1st. We hope to resume feral cat sign up on June 1st.
Squeeze Cage
Many wonder WHY feral cats need to come in a trap. Traps fit end to end with our Squeeze Cages. Feral cats are easily transfered to these smaller cages where they can be imobilzed against one wall and given pre-op sedatives. This is safer for the staff and actually less stressful for the cat. With the trap to squeeze cage system, we are streamlined to be able to alter 50 feral cats in a clinic.
Thank you to our amazing surgical staff - many traveling from out of county to be here. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who show up clinic after clinic. And to the few, the proud, the overworked SPCA Board of Directors - putting in hundreds of hours behind the scenes to make these clinics happen. Thank you to the pet owners and the feral cat caregivers - you are the voice these animals don't have. They say it takes a village...and it truly does to make an impact on the health and well-being of the dogs & cats of Lake County.
THESE ARE APPLICATIONS NOT APPOINTMENTS. We have a handful of appointments available in November and NONE in December. Most appointments will be scheduled for January & February
As always, the appointments went quickly. We will be having more clinics next year on a more consistent time frame. Thank you for being part of the solution
***UPDATE - AS OF 1/22/22 The Feed Them Fix Them Clinic is FULL. 50 more cats in Lake County that won't be adding to the over population. ***
Thank you to Lakeport Elks Lodge for funding this critically important event
