Fabulous Magnolia (Frenchman’s Fabulous) winning 2nd last night in Lincoln! I love this mare, she tries her heart out for you every run and is just plain fun. No exhibitions needed, just point and kick. She has done & will do great things. Fergie is looking for her next jockey! Message me for more details.
Built this hay net stand to make filling nets easier! Love my Hay Chix nets. Save so much money in forage and give my horses something to do all day long. I fill a ton of these and this has made life so much easier!

Ride with me! This is how I like my horses to ride around one handed. I create a box with my hands and legs that I want my horses to be accountable for staying inside of. They need to move off both reins as I move that box to the inside or outside. I want my horses to be soft, light and free in their ribs and shoulders as I do this exercise and hold their frame on their own. This helps when I run to know if I move my hand to the inside, their shoulder should follow my hand, and vis versa.

Accountability! I love working this drill on colts when you first take the “training wheels” off. Working on one handed turns really helps your horse figure out how to hold themselves without you doing it for them. The smaller pattern helps them focus on what’s at hand and they are more apt to make mistakes because it requires them to think faster and place their feet quicker. I want my horses to make mistakes so that they can learn how to be accountable for themselves. Notice I am not holding him in a round collected frame, he is trying to do it himself, not perfect yet but getting better 😄
Move your horse’s feet! Broke horses are not developed through loping circles. I like to switch things up on all my horses and ask them to move off of my legs in different ways everyday. Squares, circles, straight lines, figures 8’s, serpentines, working the fence. They all help develop a soft, broke horse that help make your job easy. This is my 2yro with less than 20 rides, you don’t need a ton of room or any fancy equipment to improve your horses, I get asked all the time for drills to do in small areas and my answer is always the same. Move their feet! You’ll see I have some poles set up in this video to help show you what I mean but you don’t need them ☺️
