Our dear sweet Sky who overcame so many obstacles and made her way out of the dog meat trade to Tampa where she was adopted by her loving family and pack who will all miss you so much! Such a gentle soul you were and I too will miss you. But, if you see my little Dana up there at the Rainbow Bridge tell I still think of her. Run free now Sky....... with no pain anymore.

“Where are you going!?” cried the ginger cats.

“Home!” replied Angel. “We are only on earth as a loan, so now I have to go. I’m glad my time here was spent with you though. What fun we had! Thank you for all your love.”

“We love your golden wings! We want some too. Can we come with you?”

“One day dear ones, but not quite yet, for it’s not your turn. But I’ll see you again soon, and you too will have your wings….just like me!”

I remember so clearly that June day back in 2001 when I saw you for the first time. My heart was racing as I walked toward you sitting all by yourself in my front yard. But when I got close to you you ran…. up under my house. I then ran into my house and came out with some food which I dropped close enough that I could reach you. You were just a little thing so hungry you came right up to me and the food. I took my chance and scooped you up and today 22 years later I held you and said good-bye to you as you slipped your earthly bonds. I’m so grateful to God that He chose me to be the one to love and care for you all these years. To say I will miss you is an understatement. Who will meet me at the door when I come in? Who else is going to sit between the shower liner and curtain while I shower and then yell at me if I don’t get out as soon as the water is shut off? Who is going to leave little paw prints from the bathroom through the bedroom after being in the shower? Who is going to rearrange and nestle in my hair and who is going to lay their little head on my arm every night when I go to bed? Who is going to make it look like a flood just occurred at your water bowl because you had to stick your paws in the water instead of lapping it like other kitties. Who will lay in my desk draw or on my desk while I work? I knew when the doctor told us you had cancer we were on borrowed time… but I didn’t think it would be this soon. Your sister is holed up in the closet and won’t come out, but, she did start eating a little bit today. I will miss and love you forever my little Ludie, Mama’s sweet baby girl. Tell Dana, Annie, Pepper, and Mama Kitty I still miss and love them.

It's been a VERY busy summer and I have had a lot of fun with all my babies. But, recently, one passed over to the rainbow bridge and broke our hearts. Elvis had a good long life with a Mom and Dad that loved him so very much. And I loved taking him on walks as much as he liked to go on them. Our last time together was last Christmas time and our walks consisted of going to the mailbox or just to the end of the driveway. Such a sweet boy that loved his Nudges, hot dogs and ice cream. We will all miss you dear boy!

So this is Max he’s my new baby to take care of while his people are cruising. He is the sweetest little thing and quite comical. He likes to watch TV with me and help me shell peas and he’s a great bed buddy he even helped me make the bed!

I had the honor and privilege to witness and help bring new life into the world this evening. By the time I left there was four newborns but here there’s only the first two. One of them only weighed 83 grams that’s how small, they are so tiny!
