As we reflect back on 2024, we would like to thank everyone for your support.

It’s been a very challenging year. Pet surrenders are up, adoptions down. Food banks are struggling with demand. It’s more important than ever that we come together as a community to help those in need.

As we begin a new year, let’s all make intentions to help one another. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle.

Monday December 16 11am-7pm
Members of the community are welcome to pick up cat and dog items. If you are in need please come to Peterborough Lions Community Centre. 347 Burnham St in Peterborough.
Santa, and his elves will be handing out food and toys while supplies last.

This is Rose. One of the many dogs waiting for their forever home at Peterborough Humane Society. She’s a beautiful 2 year old Cattle dog mix. She’s smart and so sweet. When adopting a shelter dog remember the 3-3-3 rule. 3 days to decompress. 3 weeks to learn your routine. 3 months to feel at home.
