Good News, sad news
First the good news...welcome to the Cathouse Tilly Tuesday. She is around 10yo and has made herself at home. She loves to watch football with my brother and lay by the "radiator" in her room. We are lucky to have Sweet Tee. (first photo)

Miss Mighty Heidi crossed the rainbow bridge last week. She was with my for nearly two years...the shelter didn't think she'd live 6 months. She was cranky and stand-offish most of the time, but when she rubbed up against you or slept on your chest, you knew you were loved. She was very much loved and is missed. RIP sweet girl. Petey crossed the rainbow bridge last week. His kidney levels continued to increase and his little body finally let go. He came with Georgy, his security blanket, and Lottie from a hoarding situation. It took time for all of them to open up. Petey was silly -- loved to "shine your shoes" with his scratching, his meow was more of a single note and he loved to rub up against you. He and my brother bonded over turkey at lunch time. We'll miss Petey. R.I.P.

Welcome two new members to the Cathouse! Millie Myrt on the left and Billie Earl on the right. They are just now getting close enough for a photograph. They came to the Cathouse under-socialized and not too sure of what it meant to be a cat. They have made great progress.
I don't usually adopt kittens, but after losing Hattie so suddenly I thought the house could use some positive energy.
Welcome little ones!

Another sad day at the Cathouse. Hattie Matilda, the youngest one, passed away Monday evening. She probably had an embolism. Monday morning she couldn't walk or stand up and by evening she couldn't move. I could tell she was already gone as she no longer looked like my stinker. She kept the house hopping and was loved by all the cats and especially ME. My heart is broken. R.I.P. Hattie Matilda.

Olive Irene crossed the rainbow bridge last week. She had kidney disease which finally took its toll on her. She was an amazing girl. Blind, she found her way down the stairs by herself early on and would take herself back up to "her room" every evening. Until she didn't. She spent her last couple of months in the kitchen with an occasional walk-about into the dining room or screen porch. And she even accepted all the other cats around her. You'll be missed Fluff Muffin. RIP ❤
