(10)

Instead of driving to and from, reap the benefits of a thorough veterinary exam and consultation in the comfort of your home. Your pet will appreciate this low stress approach. Average appointment length is 45 minutes, allowing ample opportunity for discussion of questions or concerns. Evening and weekend appointments are added as necessary. Optimize your pet's preventive healthcare with a customi

zed vaccination protocol for your pet based on his or her lifestyle. Dr. Aukward follows the vaccination recommendations of the World Council on Small Animal Health and The American Animal Hospital Association. Both organizations recommend a minimal approach with only medically indicated vaccinations. Dr. Aukward provides a full range of diagnostic services, including blood draws to screen for heartworm disease and a variety of other illnesses, f***l exams for intestinal parasites, ear exams to rule out mites or other infections, assessment of the eyes for cataracts, allergic reactions, or corneal tears, and skin scrapings to rule out mites and allergic reactions. Dr. Aukward also provides in-hospital care, including x-rays as well as a full range of surgical procedures.

From the nationally recognized diagnostic lab at MSU Veterinary School- Brief read with a few recommendations for pet owners. Virginia isn’t one of the 14 states reporting so far. Bring any illness concerns to your veterinarian; we have guidance from our state diagnostic labs for treatment and collection of diagnostic samples.

The MSU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and Veterinary Medical Center are responding to media reports of canine respiratory disease in several U.S. states.

Just returned from graduation at Guiding Eyes in Yorktown Heights, NY where my brother Joe graduated with his amazing, unflappable, first ever guide dog, Martha, named after her puppy raiser’s Mom! It was love at first lick. Martha is a runner like Joe and is trained to run with him as well. She has already run a 10K and runs a 7 1/2 minute mile.
