August is Clear the Shelters month! This annual event features low-cost and fee-waived adoptions at shelters across the US. Some may not know that in addition to cats and dogs, some shelters also have rabbits, birds, guinea pigs and even horses! These fluffy kitties are known for being laid-back and easy-going, and for being patient with children, other cats, and dogs.
