Working Student Position at Postorivo Farms

Starting asap - Location: Swedesboro, NJ

Are you an aspiring equestrian looking to immerse yourself in the world of top-level Hunter/Jumper competition? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of a boutique show barn while furthering your riding and training skills? If so, Postorivo Farms has an exciting working student opportunity for you!

We are a high-quality Hunter/Jumper facility dedicated to developing both horse and rider for success in the show ring. Our program emphasizes top-notch horse care, structured training, and competitive excellence. This position is ideal for someone who is hardworking, passionate, and eager to learn the ins and outs of a professional show barn. Whether you aspire to be a trainer, barn manager, or professional rider, this is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in the industry.

Responsibilities:
• Riding and lunging show horses & green horses
• General horse care, including grooming, feeding, turnout, and stall cleaning
• Attending and assisting at horse shows
• Performing general barn chores

What We Offer:
• Valuable experience in managing and working within a competitive show barn
• Opportunities to train on high-quality show horses.
• Training on both our horses and your own
• Free board for one horse, including a stall, shavings, grass hay, and grain (excludes supplements; farrier and vet services are your responsibility)
• Housing: A furnished, shared apartment on the farm (utilities included)
• Monthly stipend
Requirements:

•Advance flat order that is comfortable riding and working with young horses.
• Hardworking, experienced, and serious applicants only
• Must be committed for at least 3 months (longer preferred)
• Must be financially self-sufficient, as this is not a paid position
• Health insurance requires and a personal vehicle would be ideal.
