❗️ - Did you know dogs dream just like humans do? 😴
And smaller dogs typically dream more frequently than larger dogs. Dogs enter different sleep cycles just like us, and dream about memories and everyday activities such as going for walks, interacting with their owners, playing with their favorite toys, etc. Dogs can also have nightmares about things they dislike such as bath time!
The pons is the part of the brain that controls muscle paralysis during sleep. In puppies, the pons is underdeveloped, and in senior dogs, the pons is less efficient, which may lead to your pup physically acting out their dreams while they're asleep!
