Hi Dayna and Anthony,
I just wanted to share this picture of 2 of Woody’s kids. Kaiser (left) is 6 now and Shelby (right) will be 2 I think in April. Shelby comes over a lot to visit Kaiser and they like to lay in front of the fireplace. Kaiser has been hunting every season and is beyond our expectations. He’s the reason my dad got Shelby. Shelby is still getting training and learning the ropes. We are hoping next season she will be out as much as Kaiser so he can pass on his knowledge lol. We love them so much! Thank you!

The 2024 NGSPA All Age Invitational has concluded. A huge congrats to Branden Blum who won with Hewey and to all of the dogs, owners and handlers that were invited to attend.

This was Woodys 4th consecutive year invited to compete at this prestigious event alongside 12 of the top NGSPA all age dogs in the country. Unfortunately Dayna and I had to miss attending this year. We were on the road driving to the grounds and over half way there when we received an emergency call that required our attention and diverted our trip. All is well now, but we wish we could have spent time with our field trial friends and supported this special event. Being invited to attend the Invitational is not something that is easy to earn, dogs are invited to this event that accumulated the highest amount of points throughout the year in NGSPA all age stakes. This is a three day event with the 12 dogs competing for two days in 1 hour braces and on the final day only the top dogs are called back for a 1.5 hour brace. It’s an honor for us to be able to compete at this level and have the privilege to be amongst these dogs and handlers. But this year was a special one because it was the first time Woody made it to the final call backs after two days of hour long consistent runs with multiple finds. It’s definitely a challenge to get an all age dog around on these grounds. Unfortunately the third day was an unlucky one with Woody left standing on point. Can’t fault him for doing what he loves to do, hunt, find and point birds. Dan and April DiMambro did an incredible job training and handling Woody throughout the years and we appreciate their hard work and dedication to this sport. We also thank Keith and Bobbi Richardson for hosting the Invitationals. We look forward to attending NGSPA championships this year and with a little luck and hard work we hope to have the opportunity to attend another All Age Invitational in the future.
