It’s hard to believe that I set up my Winter Festival Booth back on Nov 25! I loaded out this morning! It feels good to be back home, but kinda surreal. Henri will be back tomorrow too. My amazing Aunt and Uncle took him on an adventure to NH and NY for the greater part of the last 3 weeks. The SoWa Power Station has become my second home over the last month. I’m humbled to be a part of a wonderful and supportive artisan community. We capped off the 24 day show with pizza. I’ll miss my daily espressos and support (and baby Darwin) Mac and cheese empanadas from and out of this world hot chocolate from my amazing neighbors .photography

Whoa…. It’s hard to believe that it’s the last weekend of Winter Festival! It really flew by. I’ve had a great time chatting with you all. And… if anyone ever wonders ‘hey should I show her a picture of my dog’, the answers is always yes!

In case you missed it…December 15th is today! Christmas is just 10 days away! Eeek… don’t fret, grab a friend and shop small here at Winter Festival until 7pm today. Check out over 100 talented artisans all under the same roof. That’s right, we’re indoors. The lights are twinkling, the music is playing and drinks are pouring!
We’re open the next 7 days too.

Thank you to everyone that came out this weekend to shop with us Winter Festival. I love what I make for pets and it’s nice to know that you all feel the same. I enjoy all the interactions I have with you in my booth. Lola’s Mom, Kate came in yesterday and we cried together over our lost girls. I’m sure over time the pain we feel will lessen…If you’ve lost a pet, then you know. I’m glad to have had a tiny role of comfort for Lola’s Mom. Lola modeled my Boston Bandana so beautifully. Yesterday I was shopping at the SOWA Holiday Market in the South End. I stopped by and there was Lola’s picture wearing her Boston scarf on the display for Large Dog Scarfs. Yesterday marked 3 weeks without Lola and seeing her picture on display at the holiday market is just what I needed. 🥹🩷

A 2x previous SOS adopter and avid supporter noticed Leo Beo get overlooked time and time again for months. And although she’s not looking to add another to her home, she sees all the potential Leo Beo has to offer to a home and wanted to help set him up for his next chapter. So now it’s time for us to find Leo Beo’s home and we need your help! Here’s a little bit about him:

Age: 1
Breed Mix/Size: Beagle mix, 45 lbs
Good with dogs: Some! Currently lives with 2 and has regular play dates with a few more
Good with cats: Yes, living with some now
Good with kids: Yes, friendly with all people. But would probably do best without tiny, tiny humans in the house
Higher energy level, very smart
He loves long nature walks, sniffy activities whether at home or out, and playing in water

Leo Beo can get over stimulated when there is a lot going on which is why he doesn’t come to all our adoption events. On August 30th I said goodbye to my Soul Dog. Roxie was just shy of 15 1/2. We both grew so much in our 15 years together. To say I’m heartbroken is an understatement. I’ve tried to write this post dozens of times in the last few months. I never felt like I could find the right words to say.

Roxie was feisty and in charge until the end. She loved to eat. She liked people more than dogs. She liked going for a walks, but mostly preferred to be carried. She was my heart.

Henri and I are both sad. We cuddle every chance that we get.

It doesn’t matter how long you have with your pets, it’s never enough.
