This summer is summering! Here's how we're keeping your pups cool:
🌅 Exercise early: we're usually running between 8AM and 10AM
⛱️ Seek shade: we're keeping dogs out of the sun as much as possible
💧 Hydrate: we either stop by clean creeks or public doggy fountains, or bring our own water for the run
⏰ Frequent breaks: we take a lot of breaks to give your pups time to cool off to prevent overheating

Our 20 minute check-in allows us to take care of food and litter with plenty of time left to play. Howl at us for any of your pet care needs.

Hey, it's me, Jordan! (And my pup Foster, of course).

It's been a while since I've posted, and we've been real busy at Ruff Runners. Here's what's been going on:

- We welcomed a ton of new dogs to our weekly line up and have been running like crazy
- We added 2 new runners to our crew (Welcome Reese and Alex)
- I helped launch a new non-profit 5K org to benefit community organizations (follow )
- I'm still spending plenty of time with my running group () and coaching at
- and spending plenty of time with my boy, Foster

I'm grateful for the cooler weather and a little time to rest and relax. I'm also grateful for those of you reading this - your support for Ruff Runners means a lot!

Meet Tuna! This lil puppy belongs to the family of one of our Ruff Runners, Josh.

We're lucky enough to be able to check in on Tuna to make sure she gets a break from the crate, some fun engagement in the yard, and a healthy lunch.

has a new meaning around here!

This summer I am fortunate enough to be able to take Fridays off from running (thanks to our understanding clients and awesome runners for making this happen).

Now that I have some free time I'm focusing on taking adventures with my dog, Foster. So far this summer we've explored parts of the Chattahoochee River, and we've hiked around Bald Mountain, Arabia Mountain, and Sweetwater State Park.

Foster loves seeing and smelling new things, and I love seeing him explore with a sense of canine wonderment. And of course, the exercise is great for both of us. I think we're both getting a lot out of these bonding experiences and I'm looking forward to more adventures with my boy!

People need our program more than we ever could have imagined.

In the first 4 months of 2023 The Gwen Fund has covered more emergency care expenses than we did in the whole of 2022 - over $14,000 - with new cases coming in every single day from families desperate to save their pets.

The Gwen Fund is a very small nonprofit - with only a few volunteers and a handful of donors we are making the world a better place for pets. But we've reached a point where we are having to say "NO" because we don't have the resources.
