Rabies is a viral disease that is almost always fatal once symptoms appear. Proper vaccination is the best and only way to keep you, your family and your pets safe. The
Lawrence County Health Department reminds you that keeping your pets current with their rabies vaccines is essential and even required by Indiana State Law. All dogs, cats, and ferrets three months and older need to be annually vaccinated against rabies. Keep your pets up to date and make an appointment with one of our local veterinary centers.
