Everyone say hi to Nugget! Nugget has been coming to us for over 4 years. He can be a little nervous at time, but he has always been the sweetest patient and always leaves here with a wagging tail. We wanted to give kudos to Nuggets owners for recognizing the importance of dental care and for keeping up with his yearly dental cleanings! We can’t wait to see you next year Nugget! ❤️

The idea of brushing your pets teeth can seem daunting and overwhelming, but we’re here to help and wanted to share some of the tips and tricks we’ve learned along the way!

Don’t be discouraged if this doesn’t work for you and your pet, there are so many oral health care products you can start implementing in your daily life! Such as prescription dental diets, plaqueoff powder, water additives, dental treats, and so much more!

In recognition of National Senior Pet Month, we want to shine light on the importance of continuing dental care, even as your pet ages. Putting your pet under anesthesia can be very nerve racking, especially as they grow older, but things like pre-anesthetic bloodwork, safe medications, and strict patient monitoring can help minimize those risks. Your pet is healthier today than they will be tomorrow, so don’t delay their dental care and get them scheduled for a cleaning now!

When looking for a treat that lasts a long time and keeps your pet busy, avoid reaching for things such as bones, antlers, yak cheese, and Nylabones. These treats are too hard and can break their teeth, leading to extreme pain and sensitivity to temperatures. In celebration of World Animal Enrichment Day, we wanted to provide you with some alternatives that are safe for their teeth and will provide some mental enrichment as well!
