I know everyone is posting pictures and videos of the storm and it's aftermath and it breaks my heart, but I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. To Summer Knowles , James Carey and all of the men and women from Charlotte fire department thank you for giving up your time and time with your families to come to our aid. You'll never know what it means at least to our family. We only got to meet a couple of you but the ones we did will forever have a place in our hearts and family. And to the ones we didn't get to personally meet (and the ones we did lol), you will always be remembered and cherished for the sacrifices you've made for us here in Western North Carolina. To our new friends we will miss you, please keep in touch. And to everyone that has come to aid all over Western North Carolina whether still here or already gone from the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your sacrifices also. Even though we don't know you you'll never be forgotten đź’• and to our hometown heroes thank you for restoring our faith in our communities đź’— it overwhelms me when I stop and think about how we've all come together as one taking care of each other in a way I thought had surely died along time age.

IT SUCKS!!!! Hot tip, if you get into a committed relationship with someone that has chronic health issues please please please understand that that person may not be able to do anything for themselves for weeks to months at a time and a large burden is going to fall on you. Take the time to make sure you're able to handle it before you commit.
I didnt ask for my body to fail.
My favorite quote from my doctor was, “it can’t really be that bad if you are still working and doing everything you do. “ I told him I didn’t know I had a choice. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Years in pain, tired and the many changes in me for no reason or apparent reason ... Hiding everything from someone else, pretending to be doing better than you are; until it no longer works. No matter how strong you want to be.

Then the moment comes when they tell you what you have ... You have mixed feelings: you finally know what you have, but how do you deal with it?
Lack of encouragement, wanting to lie down, taking medication frequently; having a whole pharmacy on top of the nightstand.

Then, the daily responses, "Why did you get so fat?" “I have this great diet, if you just go out and exercised.
That once beautiful hair of yours now awful and it falls out.
What happened to you??....
This is all true and that's why I'm sharing it!

Silent and invisible diseases do exist ...
When you have an invisible disease it is difficult to argue from your perspective with ignorant people.
Life takes a lot of turns !!!

Tired of being told:
* Did you go to the doctor?
* Have you tried this?
* Have you tried that?
* I don’t know what else we can do for you...

Yes! I tried and still try everything !!!
Doctors say this disease is forever. That I will not heal. However, I am not giving up, but I want to make others realize:
* A nap will not cure me but it will help me ...
* I am not lazy, I take medication and it sometimes makes me sleepy.
* I am not angry but sometimes cranky with pain.
* I struggle daily with pain, mobility problems, fatigue, the criticism of my environment.

Most frustratingly, people look at me and say, "It can't be that bad; you look good "
Despite the fact that my body is experiencing excruciating pain everywhere, of course I look good, I always try to look good, it is an "invisible" disease.

This disease affects me physically, mentally and emotionally. Because rare autoimmune diseases cannot be seen, but we feel them.

And they are there ... Silent attack but extra painful.

I AM LOOKING AT THOSE WHO TAKE TIME TO READ THIS POST TO THE END.

Well went to the allergist today and my welts are coming from all the autoimmune diseases I have. He said I'm more than likely gonna have to start taking a monthly shot that is really expensive to keep my welts at bay (which I'll have to keep my EpiPen on me at all times cause it can cause anaphylactic shock), don't know if it will be for the rest of my life or until the welts go away. Uuuggg will know next week if that's what I'm gonna have to do but he said there is a very high chance I'm gonna have to I just have to try a few things this week before I can start the request to insurance to make sure they don't work first

Well I got into one of my specialists appointments today and got some news I was expecting, but still nothing on my welt...

A Humble Beginning

We were living in a small trailer park. Not much to do or see. The only animals we had at the time were 4 dogs! Lacy, Cookie, Angel and Dixie! It was small and we were happy with what God had given us. But we still wanted something more to do to give God the glory! Something that we could use to help people and animals. So when we moved onto a property that we are on now, it came to us that we had enough room to start a little farm. But we didn't know what kind of animals we wanted to do. The first animals we got were 2 Little chickens, Eve and Cherry. We knew from the start that we wanted to get our own eggs, so we found out they were being sold and brought them home before we even moved in, we got our first eggs, 2 weeks before we moved. A couple weeks later we got to move into our new home that we remodeled ourselves. We were excited. We had our dogs and our chickens but mom wanted to learn how to weave and spin her own wool for her book that she was writing. She wanted to learn how they done things in the 1800’s. When she talked to daddy he didn't know what to think at first but eventually she talked him into it after much praying and they went to pick out their first sheep, but we couldn't get them just yet. A week after they picked out the sheep I (Haleigh King) decided that I wanted to do something to help. So I started looking on craigslist for the perfect animal, and that's when I saw him, Bucky, a 4 weeks old baby Nubian goat and I was sold. I knew then and there that I was meant to do goats. But he was going to need a buddy because we could bring him home 2 weeks before we got our three Shetland sheep. So my mom started looking and found Ro Ro and Willow. I wasn't going to get willow I was just going to choose Ro Ro because she was born on my moms birthday ( Hince the name Ro Ro after Rochelle) but I couldn't pass up willow for some reason so we got both. When we brought Bucky and willow home they hit it off perfectly like best friends. a week later we got a call saying that Ro R0’s mom had passed and that she was now a bottle baby if we wanted to get her early. Well DUH!! WE brought her home and fell in love even more. I knew this was what God wanted us to do. A week later we finally got to bring home the three sheep Cocoa, Hershey, and Carmel... and an Alpaca. When they had went to look for sheep my dad fell in love with this alpaca Cusco. so mom got him for daddy for Fathers day! After we got them settled mom decided that she wanted to try to raise wool rabbits, and dad liked the idea, so they found their first 2 rabbits, Floppsy and Sweetpea. After that we got into Silver Fox rabbits, and Got our first of those Percival and Guinevere. When we finally got our first animals we realized that this is what we were meant to do. This was our new life, God has provided every animal there in the our price range everytime and made it easy for us to get them, and we can’t thank him enough. Yes it has been hard at times, we have lost a few animals starting with willow. But we don’t know God’s plan, we don’t know what would have happened in the future, all I know is that during the time that we had them, Willow, Maple, Dot, Lileigh, Rocky, Oliver, Eve, and Zues and Cookie, it was the best times of our lives, each animal was placed in our lives for some reason, and I’m glad that we could give them love and family before they left us. But in the midst of all that loss, we have went from the little that we had to 48 chickens, 4 goats, 3 alpaca’s, 11 Sheep, 17 rabbits and 4 quail! And hopefully more in the future. God has blessed this little farm. And I sure can’t thank him enough for our very humble beginning!
