Exciting news! This summer we are offering a new program called Doggie Playtime. Only $20 for 30 min of fun!!

Dog parks are not designed for every dog. Many dogs find the rough and tumble of a pack of free-roaming dogs too much. Doggie Playtime is perfect for those dogs who need a chance to run and play off-leash without the worry and fear of unknown dogs (and their people). Play will be limited to 2 dogs at a time monitored by KARE trainers and staff. Dogs will be matched based on size, temperament, and play style.

Doggie Playtime is a bi-weekly playdate for dogs over 6 months old. Playtime will be limited to a maximum of 4 dogs. Under the watchful eye of trained KARE staff, dogs can have fun and socialize safely in an enriching environment that encourages good behavior and social skills.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PLAYTIME:

Flea / Tick-free and in good overall health i.e. no limping, coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, or wounds.

Friendly and comfortable with other dogs and people. (NO BITE HISTORY)

VACCINES REQUIRED: All dogs are required to have received DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines.

Our Canine Good Citizen / Therapy Dog Class is starting next week and we still have spaces available!

Why CGC? A dog that has passed its CGC test has many benefits: the test is a prerequisite for many therapy and service dog training programs. It is a fantastic start to dog sports or activities. Some insurance programs even offer a discount if your dog has passed this test! And many find renting easier if their dog has a CGC certificate.

After 20 years of dreaming, planning, and saving, and with a lot of help from the Kitsap Great Give, we were able to finally open our KARE Training and Activity Center in 2018. This facility serves as a centrally-located “headquarters” for our team, improving our organization’s day-to-day operations, as well as provide a safe space for those who are struggling with behavioral issues caused by environmental stressors.
