**❣️Operation cure Chyna’s cancer❣️**
***Rescue community: 1500 more needed to meet our goal for surgery!!** donations will be matched by Facebook!

A few years ago Chyna was rescued from an abandoned property with dozens of animals in very poor condition living outside on chains, most Heartworm positive. We were able to place all of them into loving homes- some of the adopters we are still in contact with!
Chyna is one of those lucky girls. After a few happy years in a comfortable home she started to develop a mass on the side of her face. The mass was removed, but margins were narrow. Although the mass was gone, given the aggressiveness of the cancer we knew it might come back without very large margins on all sides.
One year later, Chyna’s mass came back very aggressively and grew quickly. Soft tissue sarcomas involve a very specialized technique to remove all cancerous cells. Her mom has already paid 2500 for a CT scan at University of Wisconsin to be sure cancer was no where else in the body.

NOW SHE NEEDS US ONCE AGAIN!!!

Chyna has to have a specialist surgeon remove the mass with large margins so very expensive radiation will not be needed. And time is of the essence before it grows too large to remove.

While have been taking a break from current intakes, we still have animals that we have saved over the years who we keep in close contact with and Chyna is one of them!

Chyna needs 1500 more dollars raised to get to her appointment for surgery! Any little amount helps to cure this girl of her cancer so she can continue to live the good life and make up for so many years lost living on a chain!
All donations are 100% tax deductible!!

🐾🐾🧡🧡 WE ARE SO PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE SOME AMAZING NEWS- June was released from the emergency ICU clinic in stable condition after a few rounds of stem cell therapy brought her PCV and other bloodwork into a more normal range!! We are so happy for her family and are so proud that amazing people like them choose to adopt and give these animals the very best life! June’s bill was well over 10,000.00 dollars but her family cannot put a price on her health and happiness. Thank you all for your support, sharing and donations!!! YAY June!!!!

✨✨✨UPDATE: Visiting with June Bug and her parents today you can really tell she is a fighter! She is hanging in there and has that sparkle in her eye seeing her mama! We feel that the first round of stem cells really made a difference! Another round is in the works for tomorrow morning and based on previous cases seen by Safari Regenerative Therapy (the stem cell company) this specific condition has some amazing success cases. June is at Blue Pearl Speciality and Emergency Pet Hospital in Appleton, Wi where her family is visiting each day. If you are at all able to show your support you can donate even 5 dollars here or directly to her account June La Tour 920-993-9193 🐾🐾🐾

You all may remember “Barbara” now June a little dachshund we saved from Texas and transported up to Wisconsin. June needs our help again! 💔

When we first heard of June she was sitting in a small county jail in a little town outside of San Antonio… since there are SO many dogs and very little facilities to hold them this is where the dogs found in the area have to go. She was to be euthanized that night, since it was a holiday weekend no one would be working the jail to take care of anyone in their possession. We couldn’t let this happen! So we drove out and picked her up, saving her from certain death. Later we found out June was shot in the head with a BB and had a few underlying anxiety issues likely stemming from her early life.

Now June is happily adopted by a loving family in Wisconsin but has been diagnosed with a life threatening disease. What the specialists believe to be Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA)- June’s immune system is attacking her red blood cells and she is in need of multiple blood and stem cell transfusions. Her family is going above and beyond to save her life and give her every possible chance to pull through. With the 24 hr ICU care, transfusions and treatments they are looking at thousands of dollars in bills to save her life.

Although a price tag cannot be put on sweet little June we want to do anything we can to try to help this family. They have put their life on pause and are worried sick, staying in a hotel close to the specialists and visiting her each day. Anything we can do to help June make it through this life threatening disease we want to try to do! Any little donation helps and will go toward June’s family’s medical bills.

Harvey needs everyone’s thoughts and prayers! 💚

He is 1 of 6 puppies that were pulled off of the streets a few weeks ago during the thunderstorm. In the last 24 hours he has declined in not wanting to eat or drink, and showing symptoms of parvovirus. So far his siblings are all doing great, but we are keeping a very close eye on them.

Harvey is with our veterinarian staff getting all the treatment he needs to get stronger. Parvo is such a highly contagious virus and is a huge threat to all dogs, especially young puppies. Please vaccinate your pets through your veterinarian!

Something very common in Texas- stray/dumped dogs and irresponsible owners!

Becky was most likely dumped on a very busy road, while many people just passed her by and did nothing. Thankfully, a few good Samaritan’s posted her on a group where we saw her, and immediately offered to take her in. Becky was INFESTED with ticks from neck to toe, as well as suffering from demodex mange. Aside from what she’s been through, she is the absolute sweetest dog and loves everyone.

Genie was also found roaming the streets in a pretty common neighborhood constantly full of strays, where owners allow their dogs to roam intact and not take responsibility of them. While she’s scavenging for food, she could have been hit by a car, attacked by other dogs, or got pregnant.

These dogs deserve better! They will be making their way up North fairly soon, and we are asking for help to raise funds for their medical needs. Anything is always greatly appreciated. 🐾❤️

We are so happy that we were able to help give P*e Wee a second chance at life and place him into a foster home where he could continue to grow. The staff, volunteers and trainers at ACS did an amazing job with gaining his trust, and turning him into a completely different dog than when he was first surrendered to the shelter (as a scared, antisocial dog who was left outside) by his owners.

Please consider fostering, and don’t ever overlook the scared and shutdown ones -who just need a little extra TLC. ❤️🐾

One of our rescue partners up north is trying to raise $15,000 to help raise funds for the amount of dogs that they take from us, as well as other rescues and shelters.

Please follow, like, share and/or donate to this amazing cause! Some staff and volunteers have graciously volunteered to cut and dye their hair, as well as some getting pie thrown to the face to help get to their goal.

You may even see a few common faces of some of our dogs we have sent up waiting for their homes. 💜

We are so humbled by our amazing fosters who never hesitate to quickly take in a dog that was either left out in the snow and freezing cold weather- or simply was no longer wanted. We have taken on an excessive amount of dogs this week, and therefore will be closed for intake until further notice.

As we understand times are currently hard, our supply on dog food is very limited to be able to give to our foster homes. We have quite a few large puppies, as well as pregnant moms.
▪️Purina
▪️Purina Puppy food (dry)
▪️science diet
▪️royal canine
▪️Costco brand
Puppy pads are always appreciated.

Below are just a few of the dogs (before and after) that we were able to take in thanks to our fosters🐾

If you’re able to donate, please feel free to drop off at our clinic address during open hours, or pm us for an address to drop off. ❤️

Blue had walked the streets of San Antonio for years scrounging for scraps and would have been out in the SNOW AND ICE storm (yes that’s right, in Texas!) right now struggling if our team had not rescued him.
Our big man blue is in a loving foster home right now playing in the snow but many dogs are cold and freezing out in this weather they’ve never experienced. We found out Blue will need special food for kidney disease, Heartworm treatment, and bloodwork for his underlying condition.
We’ve taken in dogs from the streets that would otherwise be out in the cold. Right now our facility has no power/heat or water (frozen pipes) during this winter weather storm. We were lucky enough to get many dogs out on transport and into foster homes and have moved everyone from the building. But with the cost of the transport and taking dogs in we are asking for your help!! All donations go toward the dogs we take in to get them the medical care they need to be happy and healthy.
Please consider helping those helping animals right now in this storm!

UPDATE- transport was a bit slow getting through the icy weather going up but delivered all safely, now transport is slightly delayed coming back with Texas snow storm on their way back in. Please send good vibes and thoughts to our volunteers!!!

❄️❤️A transport through the storm ❤️❄️
The weather may be cold and dreary here in Texas but we hope it warms your hearts to see these 43 pups on their way to forever homes waiting up north.
Positive thoughts, and if you can, spare any little bit towards gas money to get these dogs into homes is greatly appreciated!!! The weather will be snowy and cold on their way up but our team has the pups prepared for the climate change.
Some of these dogs have been waiting in shelters over a year to get a chance at a new life. Thanks to our amazing fosters we were able to get them out of shelters and completely vet them before finding placement up north. We even have a few kitties going up to a cat cafe where they will find the best homes!
We wish them a safe and quick arrival to the north ❤️❄️
Any little bit helps to keep our transport program going!

Update- Unfortunately, our boy Taz lost his battle yesterday. His condition was causing his organs to fail and fluid was accumulating in his heart. He passed away in the company of his foster family with a full belly and his warm bed. Taz has spent the last 2 weeks fighting for his life, but he also had the chance to learn what unconditional love is. Please send good vibes to the individuals that notified us about him, our rescue, and his foster family. We are heartbroken, but we know that Taz left this world knowing that he will be loved forever.

Update on Taz- contains graphic photos***
When Taz came to us last week, we found that his condition was worse than we thought. His temperature was 98.2, his wounds were severe, he could not eat on his own, and his bloodwork showed that he had some sort of liver damage along with very low glucose levels. We believe that Taz was bit by something venomous/poisonous and his organs were damaged due to the toxin. Taz has been on constant IV fluid for the past 6 days. He is also receiving a daily injectable antibiotic and has a heating pad and space heater to keep him warm. His bandages have to be changed daily along with hydrotherapy to aid in healing. He will also have to stay on a medication to help with liver function. A few days ago, Taz started to eat on his own and is now able to stand and walk without help. His personality is starting to show and he is fighting so hard to get better. His temperature is now 100.8 and his color has improved. Thank you to everyone who has kept Taz in your thoughts. He has a long road to recovery, but he has been such a trooper throughout this process and we hope that he continues to improve!

We took in this little guy, Taz, today that will need a lot of care to get healthy again. He was attacked by large dogs leaving a huge hole in his side. He is not yet a surgery candidate due to his poor bloodwork levels but we are hoping to help him get healthy enough with secondary care to get him to surgery.
Absolutely any little bit helps to go towards his medical bills!

Bentley got his X-rays done, and unfortunately sad news..

He has a giant tumor in his abdomen, around his spleen, possibly the reason he became paralyzed. Given this tumor, we are not sure on how long Bentley has to live. He’s taken a traumatic turn, but he’s holding on. His beyond amazing foster mom is making sure that he has the best remaining life, giving him lots of love that he lacked on from his past. We’re doing everything we can to ensure he’s not in pain or discomfort. Thank you Donna 💙
