Valhalla K9 Academy

Hello! My name is Eric Stolpestad, owner of Valhalla K9 Academy. My love for dogs inspired me to put away my suit and tie after 15 years of finance and pick up a leash in favor of helping people with their canine companions rather than portfolio and stock options. After training hundreds of dogs over the course of 3 years, I am opening Valhalla K9 Academy to meet the needs of my clients. I have a background in psychology that I use when working with both dogs and their families to create the most cohesive and effective training possible. Offering both boarding school and in home house calls allows me to meet the individual needs of families and their pets.

Years ago our family grew by one papillon, Taz. He was adorable and loved by all. He stayed by my side many years until he passed from Congestive Heart Failure. After adding two new papillon pups to our pack, we soon found that dog training was sorely needed for our mischievous little additions. Fortunately, we found a great trainer and a new career! Dog training has been a part of my life ever since.

I truly love dogs and training them to be the best they can be. My intention is not to turn your dog into a different dog, rather to bring out their best personality while learning your house rules. I have worked with Paphaven Rescue to help make dogs adoptable in addition to helping my clients. My goal is to listen and work with all of my clients to provide a personal and excellent experience for both you and your furry friend.
