Poppy, 4 ½ yr old Seal Pt Siamese is still looking for her new "forever" home. She resides in both Toronto in the summer and Arizona in winter and gets very anxious traveling in her carrier and tries to claw her way out on the long trips. Her family feels that it isn't fair for her to be stressed traveling back and forth and seems that she is much happier living in Tucson.
Poppy, very statuesque and gorgeous is shy when meeting new people but improving. She isn't a lap cat but loves to be pet and brushed as long as you don't touch her tummy. She's very well behaved, doesn't jump on counters or tables and uses her scratching posts. She's UTD on her shots and has been spayed.
If you would like to meet Poppy and are interested in adopting, please complete the online application; www.lovar.org

Adoption event Sunday, 2/23, PetCo, Oro Valley Market Place from 10:30-2:00. Both Milo and Max will be there and can be adopted separately or together. According to their foster, they are not a bonded pair.

Here is what their foster says about them.
"Milo is tiny, extremely loving with everyone, has absolutely no fear of anything, and he talks up a storm (or should I say squeaks). His small size deters him from nothing. He is very, very playful, purrs louder than a freight train, and loves lap sleeping and under the covers time. He will purr himself asleep laying against his person in bed. He gets a fat tail when first meeting new cats, but will soon be rubbing against them. He is always first to the food and will check out every dish, including yours. Everything is food to him if it can be, and he needs more work with learning boundaries. He is the one with the white patch on his chest that hides whenever you look for it to see if he’s Milo or Max.

Max is all black, sleek and absolutely beautiful. He is fast and strong, and so so loving if he picks you as his person. He is also extremely brave, but uses a little more caution in new situations. He has no fear of new people, but also gets a fat tail with new cats until he also is soon playing with them. He loves to climb, climb, climb and would love some dedicated cat climbing areas, but will also use your bookshelf. He loves to be carried around while you scratch him and show him everything he can’t see from cat height, and he will reward you with his beautiful little purrs. He squeaks at his toys, and actually has a few different meows depending on the situation, including squeaks, trills, a really long, barely perceptive whine and even silent meows. He is extremely stubborn, and will argue with you, but always gives in. He loves to sleep near his person.

They both love tiny mice and will carry them around, throw them in the air, and they both love fetch. They also will play with a string on a stick and end up carrying the string around. They will make a great companion, ir two, for anyone that needs entertainment and love. Not sure about dogs."

Both have been neutered and have their kitten shots.

If you would like to adopt either one or both, please complete the online application; www.lovar.org

"Owning a pet is not just a privilege - it's a responsibility"
There are many things to show you are a responsible pet owner.
Spay and neuter, vaccinate, wear up to date ID tags and get a microchip, keep gates secured and locked, have barriers in front of doors so there's no door dashing, keep toxic food, plants and medications away from them are just a few things to do.
They depend on us to keep them safe and to love them unconditionally.

Thank you Max and Neo for the donated goodie box of collars and leashes received!
If anyone is thinking of purchasing new collars and leashes, please support rescues in the process by purchasing from Max and Neo at www.maxandneo.com Not only do they donate an item for every purchased made, they are truly high quality and durable. Below, are some photos of our volunteer's pets modeling there new and impressive collars.
The following statement was made by one of our volunteers, "Those are SUPER nice collars! First of all I only use martingales and was very happy they were that. Second, they snap on which is a convenient feature, plus they have a well placed tab for the tags go. Most impressive, the snaps lock closed, which I've never seen before."
Once again, thank you Max and Neo for your most generous donation.
