Dr. Kaneps has specialist certifications in veterinary surgery (Diplomate, ACVS) and sports medicine-rehabilitation (Diplomate, ACVSMR). We specialize in diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of lameness and other issues of the equine athlete. Over 35 years of lameness expertise, combined with digital radiography, digital ultrasound, and our gait analysis system (Lameness Locator) make complete

lameness evaluations practical in your horse's home environment. Joint, neck, and back injections, stem cell and platelet-rich plasma techniques, shockwave therapy, therapeutic ultrasound and rehabilitative exercise protocols are applied as appropriate for your horse's issues. Dr. Kaneps is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, North Carolina and South Carolina. Winter visits are made to the Carolina's to continue consistent care for our equine patients. Pre-purchase examinations are conducted with efficiency and careful attention. Consultation with the buyer and the buyer's primary care veterinarian occurs during and after the examination. Preliminary imaging findings are available at the completion of the exam. Reports are completed and images are sent where necessary within 24 hours. We use e-mail to send jpegs of images and a web-based service that allows instant access to our DICOM images.
