Fridays with Milan=walking with stuffies ❤️

Hi, I’m Milan – a beautiful, loving girl with a heart full of joy just waiting for my forever home!

I first came to CARE as a tiny puppy and found a home I loved for years. When life took an unexpected turn, CARE rushed to bring me back, knowing I was still the same sweet soul.

🐾 Now I’m thriving in foster care! I’ve gained 4 healthy pounds (53 lbs of pure sweetness 💕), and my foster family says my tail NEVER stops wagging. I’m a champion kiss-giver, love car rides & walks, and I have the best manners (potty trained & couch rules respected!). Bonus: I try to carry two toys on my walks. Sometimes you may have to help. 😉

✨ My special trick? When you’re about to leave, I gently place my paws on your leg to ask for just one more moment together. Because being close to my people is what makes me happiest.

I know sit, down, paw, “watch me,” and even “wait”! I’m ready to show off my smarts and my endless affection to the person meant for me.

👑 Meet Gaby – The Sassy Princess Who’s Been Waiting Since January! 👑

Gaby is a gorgeous lighter calico with lots of white—and plenty of cattitude to match. Found outside in Chicago, she’s proven to be friendly, affectionate, and more than ready for a forever home where she can truly shine. ✨

Think of her as a “Here’s my number, pet me maybe” kind of girl. She’ll happily soak up your attention—on her terms, of course—and she’ll be sure to let you know when she’s ready for a break. Treats are the way to her heart (and trust us, she never says no to a snack).

❤️Special Adoption Update: Salem ❤️

Many of you may not know Salem, but he’s been part of the C.A.R.E. family for his entire life. He came to us as a tiny nursing neonate with his siblings and was briefly adopted as a kitten—only to be returned a couple of weeks later. Since then, he’s spent his 1.5 years in and out of foster homes, each one giving him love and care along the way.

This past June, Salem landed in what would be his final foster home—and it turned out to be exactly where he was meant to be. His foster mom and her son fell deeply in love with him, and recently they made it official: Salem is home forever. 🏡❤️

We’re so grateful to every foster family who cared for Salem throughout his journey. Because of you, he grew into the gentle, loving cat who has now found the perfect forever family. Please enjoy his sweet Then & Now photos instead.

Don’t let the name fool you — Icy is anything but cold. This sweet orange-and-white tabby has a big heart, a curious spirit, and warms up to people in no time.

Icy and Nacho are an inseparable duo who do everything together — play, nap, groom, and stir up just the right amount of mischief. Returned to the shelter through no fault of their own after their family’s child developed a sudden allergy, they’re now looking for a forever home together.

Affectionate and playful, Icy loves lap time, belly rubs, and chasing feather toys with laser focus. Paired with Nacho’s charm, they’re the perfect double act — bringing twice the fun, twice the love, and twice the purrs.
