After 22 years Gregson’s Gardens is retiring from providing fresh veggies, greens, herbs and fruit in small batches to our local retailers, restaurants and caterers. We extend our sincerest thanks to those of you who have been our loyal customers over the years.

LILAC LEMONADE 🧉🪻
Yes, Lilacs are edible! And they taste just as good as they smell! Lilacs are one of the first spring edibles to bloom, but only for about two weeks! Take advantage of their brief season by grabbing a few handfuls of fresh flowers and adding them directly to a pitcher of Lemonade. Allow flowers to infuse overnight and in the morning, strain out the flowers and enjoy!! They also make a delicious simple syrup🌿

Make sure your lilac flowers are harvested from areas that are free of pesticides and chemicals.🚫☣️

We get asked what hydroponics are a lot, this definition sums it up:

Hydroponics is the technique of growing plants using a water-based nutrient solution rather than soil, and can include an aggregate substrate, or growing media, such as vermiculite, coconut coir, or perlite.

We have used this and traditional gardening since 2003. Hydroponics is easier on our old backs, and reduces contamination and pests. However, if part of the system fails you can have large losses. It takes time to perfect, we continually learn and experiment and really enjoy it.
