I hope everyone had a wonderful & safe Holiday weekend!
We brought the kiddos to our weekend vacation spot Campground this Sunday afternoon - Tuesday morning (now that they've received their final puppy vaccination).
They clearly loved all the extra attention AND all potty happened outside or in their litter bin!! (YAY!!)
Vernon (Brindle boy with ears cropped), Vixen (Brindle red collar girl) & Pinkie (Brindle pink collar girl) are still looking for their amazing homes!!
Outside recess time (now that the sun is going down)!
We do have 2 brindle girls and 1 brindle boy still looking for their best forever families!
They all have wonderful confident personalities (and a slight obsession with sticks).
~ Vera (Pinkie, female); is often the leader of 'the puppy pack' on new adventures. But when we're having inside play time, she's typically the first one to ask to sit next to me on the couch and she'll immediately snuggle up and fall sleep.
~ Vixen (Red collar female); has a stunning light chevron brindle pattern. She is very intelligent and the first to solve our doggie puzzles. She typically likes to stay close to humans to get the most pets.
~ Vernon (Green collar boy); Has already had his ears cropped by one of the top veterinarians in the country! He also has a stunning light chevron brindle pattern and a sweet 'people focused' personality. He prefers lap time & cuddles, but will happily join his siblings to explore the yard and new play toys!
Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Trying to climb UP the slide.... brings me back to my much younger days 🤣
We hope everyone is having a wonderful & beautiful holiday weekend!
We are looking for the BEST homes for;
Brindle girl Vixen (red collar),
Brindle girl Vera (pink collar)
Brindle boy Vernon (green collar)
Vixen is a beautiful brindle girl; She is very intelligent and has a confident personality with wonderful conformation show potential.
Vera (aka Pinkie) has 2 modes; passed out cuddling in your lap, or LEADING the puppy pack on adventures!
Vernon is an absolutely beautiful brindle boy with a sweet 'people focused' personality. He prefers cuddles, but will happily join his siblings to explore the yard and new play toys!
Puppies always remind me that it doesn't matter if you insist on being front & center of the camera, someone in the background can always steal the show 😆
Enjoying some outdoor play time!
Finally, some sleepy time!!
Thank goodness this energy level (×9 pups) only lasts for about 20 minutes right now🫠🥰🤪
Sorry for the delay in sharing, but I know you'd all love to see the babe's first introduction to 'puppy mash' (food soaked in water & goat's milk then blended to an oatmeal consistency)
Velma : Fawn Female
Vixen : Red collar Brindle Female
Vera : Pink collar Brindle Female
Vanna : Purple collar Brindle Female
Vinca : Yellow collar Brindle Female
Viet (German for Victor) : Blue collar Fawn Male
Vincent : Green collar Fawn Male
Vector : Blue collar Brindle Male

Here comes trouble!!
The babes are 17 days old; eyes & ears are open and they are incredibly mobile !
Our pink collar brindle girl is half an ounce away from joining her 8 siblings at 3+ pounds (so Clover is clearly being an amazing momma)!
Hiya Dane friends & family!
I need your help..... I need puppy names starting with the letter V.
Bonus if you can find boy, and girl, V names (other than Violet) that are horticultural themed (plants/flowers/trees).
Aunty Olive always has to come check on all the babies
A lil cute for your Sunday 🥰
My Dane friends & family... we have several more reasons to look forward to spring!
Please keep the positivity flowing to Clover, and her puppies (Due between March 30 - April 2nd)🤞
Hazel the Tripod
To our friends & In The Ruff Family members,
I am sorry I haven't been in touch more.
Our Great Dane Hazel (Clint's Daddys Girl) started displaying a lameness/limp on August 7th, and saw our veterinarian on August 9th.
Her limp would come and go for the next few weeks, and during that time she had 2 recheck appointments (her appointment on Aug 19th; she had no limp and no indication of pain).
Because her limp returned yet again, we returned to the Vet Hospital on Sept. 7th for more in-depth testing.
Unfortunately we discovered that Hazel's limp was being caused by Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in her humorous bone; the large upper bone that connects to her shoulder, in her front right leg.
We chose to have the leg amputated.
We already know that it's unlikely that the amputation will remove *all* the cancer. BUT we believe that the surgical recovery period was worth...
1 ) Removing the possibility of the humorous bone shattering unexpectedly
2 ) Removing the severe (bone cancer) pain
3 ) AND giving us more *pain free* time with her
* Especially since tomorrow (Oct 6th) she will turn 4.5yrs old! *
We met with the orthopedic surgeon on Sept 12th, and mercifully they were able to get Hazel in for surgery on Wednesday Sept 14th.
***********************
Today (Wednesday Oct 5th) she is 3wks post-op!
Her incision is almost 100% healed and she has already adjusted incredibly well to life on 3 legs!!
************************
Hazel's humorous bone biopsy did confirm Osteosarcoma.
BUT there was no evidence of cancer cells in the biopsy of her lymph node *which is great news!*
If it was in the lymph node then we'd know for sure that the cancer had already spread.
Because Osteosarcoma is an aggressive cancer, it is likely that there is already microscopic cancer cells somewhere else. BUT since it's not in the lymphatic system yet, at minimum that means we get even more time with her.
Puppy Outdoor Recess
Our 5 handsome boys are making phenomenal progress on housebreaking and they love outdoor recess! (Maroon girl, Now Ziva, is with us while her family is enjoying a pre-planned vacation).
Yesterday they all went potty outside while it was sprinkling & super windy because a thunderstorm storm was coming in! 🥰 Now the hard part is getting ALL of them inside at the same time 😆
Here's some extra info about their individual personalities;
Light Blue collar boy (Standard Fawn) SOLD. ;

Light Blue collar boy: Dane puppy sound asleep 😴
We take every opportunity we can to get our babes used to being handled, especially when their fast asleep!
Tonight I couldn't help but test Light Blue collar boy...
(He is so human focused; he tramples over his siblings to sit/nap next to me on the couch and gives kisses every chance he can! 🥰 )
