MATCHING GIFT ALERT ‼️ When our Equine CARE team arrived at a property in Franklin County last week to secure 10 severely neglected horses, they noticed three horses that had escaped the property and also needed medical attention. We returned earlier this week to collect the three remaining horses, two mares and a foal, and safely transported them back to our Willow Hope Farm. We are currently working on getting these horses settled in, but we know they will require veterinary and farrier attention. For now, they are comfortable and have ready access to grass and water - something they've craved for a very long time.
While our hearts break knowing these poor horses have suffered for so long, we are so grateful for the remarkable ways our community has shown up to support them this past week. Our friends from Eleemosynary by LMH, Inc. were so moved by this rescue that they are generously matching ALL donations up to $15,000. That means when you donate at kyhumane.org/equine/give, your gift will DOUBLE to impact TWICE as many horses in need as they receive the rest, rehabilitation and love they deserve.
