Some days it is too cold or wet for a full walk. One such day this week Jackpot requested cuddles at the end, and his kitty sister Gigi joined in. These little moments make my heart full.

Heartwarming story ahead!
While TNRing a cat colony, some volunteers and I met a very confident 9 month old kitten. Some of the neighbors called him No Tail, as he has a little fluffy lynx short tail. We brought him in to to be neutered, and a wonderful Vet Tech named Leah fell in love with his strut and the way he captured the room. There are quite a few colony caretakers in this particular area, and after speaking with several they told us this guy did not have any people that would bring him inside for the cold Winter and hot Summer. Leah was pining after him, and a few days after his surgery I was able to reunite them! This guy is now named Gibbs, and took all of 10 minutes to claim his new people. Thank you for giving us the resources to spend time with this colony, for getting to know these cats since July, and Leah for wanting to give Gibbs a forever home. We TNR to improve the health of these kitties, and stop the cycle of kittens, and now and again a tender heart helps a kitty transition to the good life indoors. Happy Thanksgiving to all, but especially Gibbs whose swagger we will be talking about for years! I imagine his inner monologue sounds something like Chela Rivas 😼

I'm way behind on posting, but look at Lemon and Larry in their new winter coats! They bounce along and keep their bodies warm as we walk, if it's below freezing we keep it short as these ridiculous and adorable pups are not meant for winter frolics.
