UPDATE: She was seen at the emergency vet and will need to have a CT scan to see how bad the internal damage to her nose is, which will be $1000. After the scan is done, she’ll need to see a rhinoplasty surgeon to fix the damage which will be upwards to $1000 for that as well. We are hoping to raise $2000 to cover all scans and surgeries this baby will need.
This sweet girl, now named Taffy, is officially in our custody! She was originally scheduled to see the vet Wednesday, but after assessing her, we felt like she needed to be seen immediately. Shes currently on her way to ECVR (emergency vet) to hopefully get some reprieve and schedule surgery for her ASAP. She is extremely underweight by 10-15 pounds, and we believe her injury came from scavenging for food, and getting her nose stuck inside of a can, causing injury to under her nose by slicing it open, as well as her forehead. Donations are greatly needed as we are sure this will be a lengthy and expensive treatment plan.
Donations can be made directly to ECVR under Dauntless Taffy once shes been checked in, as well as on our website under "donate".
We will update with any quotes given or prognosis from the vet once seen.

We know we have been exclusively a dog rescue, but we felt called to help this poor soul. Please meet Netri, meaning "one with beautiful eyes"... This lady has a long road ahead of many vet visits and ultimately a double enucleation. We have no idea how much these visits will total in the end, but we need to fight for her, because she has so much fight in her.
Please help us help her. Donations can be made directly on our website under "donate" or through the fb button below. We thank you again for your continued support, and please EVERYONE spay and neuter your animals to prevent babies like Netri from suffering
***SPECIAL NEEDS ALERT***
Introducing our special needs little lady, Suzie Q. Suzie was seized along with the other yorkies we recently took in, but unfortunately, she is a prime example of backyard breeders overbreeding, and neglect. We knew Suzie was going to need some extra TLC upon intake, but we didn't realize how bad off she was. She was seen by our vet and x-rays done, to reveal she has multiple leg issues going on, as a result of prior trauma, or overbreeding. Unfortunately, she is not a candidate for surgery, leaving her with her special walk. She is not in pain, and runs and plays with the big guys, so we want to give her the best life she can live now. We are looking for a special adopter for this special dog to love. Other than her legs, shes in great health overall.
If youre interested in meeting, or adopting Suzie, please apply at ddrnc.org
