The adventures of Boo Boo. Our baby Boo is turning 8 next month. We have had her since she was a wee babe. 3 years ago, we noticed she developed a very slight head tilt and trouble grabbing her food. We did get her checked out immediately at that time, but no issues were seen on some minor tests and no improvement with medication trial.
Her head tilt has gotten more noticeable to the point where we decided to look into it just a bit further. This is Boo being put through a CT scan of her little head and body. Due to her size, we can't really pursue a contrast study but hopeful that maybe something can be seen with this amazing diagnostic tool!
Babies are starting to hatch! A cute pair of Aeluroscalabotes dorsalis and Strophurus intermedius hatched the other night.

New little guy came in this past week from GirlZilla Geckos! Gorgeous 50% het Axanthic male named Masque. We also did receive a beautiful little Buckeye x Aloe bab but we are waiting for it to fully shed out before posting pictures.

We are wanting to offer a service that really means a lot to us to hopefully help the community a bit. It's in the works currently but a basic f***l lab for very routine f***ls may be a possibility in the near future.
Why do we want to do this? Parasites are extremely common. We always recommend getting a f***l done on new additions regardless of where or who they come from. Providing these routine diagnostics could possibly catch things early on or help alleviate vet bills for other diagnostics creating better medical compliance all around.
How will this be done? We are still working out the finer details and may start very local before seeing if we can/are able to assist statewide or even countrywide. We have our own lab station here that we use regularly. Assortment of different f***l floats that are used in veterinary medicine frequently. SOP can be given to anybody interested in the particular test setup.
Are we worried about bringing in any disease trying to do this? Not really. We take sample handling seriously. We also use the same veterinary grade disinfectants that exotic vet clinics use for their kennels/enclosures, exam tables and lab equipment. We will only accept and look at samples and not the animals themselves so they will not be here either.
Will there be any fee for this service? Yes. Again, those details are being worked on as well but things like this does take time and resources to complete. We don't have a set price in mind at this time but opinions are welcome!
If we do find something on the f***l can we prescribe medication, offer guidance with medications or at least give dosages? No. If something is found we can provide pictures and what we did. However, from there a DVM would need to be involved to do an exam and then prescribe the proper medications to your pet.
Of course there's a lot more to it than what's here in the post but we will keep everyone update on this little endeavor. Let us know your thoughts below and any opinions of it this is or is not something that is feasible for the reptile community!

He has some gorgeous colors. We think these are some of the prettiest leopard geckos.
Starting to get some eggs from this brilliant pair.
Power went out for about 12 hours here recently and temperatures in the house climbed up fairly rapidly to the 90's in some areas. Fortunately, many of the geckos here were unphased but we have been having many incubating eggs failing. So, baby season may be cut short for us a bit.
