Many of you know, at QnB, we have our own language.
If you’ve been in our classes for a while, or seen us at trials, you know the vibe. When a dog comes in absolutely on fire, full of passion, excitement, and that "let's have some fun" energy, you’ll hear us call it RtW, "Ready to Work." RTW isn't about the results, it’s about that high-voltage spark where the dog is vibrating with the joy of the search.
But our Friday at 3PM fellowship, has a level that goes even higher. If you’ve ever heard someone suddenly yell out "WEINER WORTHY!", you’ve probably seen some puzzled looks from the people around us.
For them, Weiner Worthy is the ultimate evolution of that passion. It’s what we call those runs that are a masterpiece. It’s that perfect search where the dog is in full flow, the human is perfectly in sync, and the alert is so crisp it deserves the highest honor our resident "hot dog provider", Kathy, can offer! 🌭✨
What started as a fun inside joke has become the definition of our community. It’s a celebration of the Wayward spirit, for the dogs who search with their whole souls and the handlers who cheer the loudest for each other, every win, big or small.
This week, two of our incredible students took that lore and made it official. Alisa and Ade went above and beyond to surprise the group by purchasing and creating custom medals to designate this epic group.
Because sometimes, a ribbon isn't enough. Sometimes, you need to know that you are truly WEINER-WORTHY. 🥇
This is what community looks like. It’s support, it’s laughter, and it’s honoring the unique magic each team brings to the search area.
To my students: Thank you for keeping the fun in the work and for being brave enough to find your own Way.
