Great Dog Rescue New England (GDRNE) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit, shelterless, all-breed rescue group headquartered in Massachusetts.

Great Dog Rescue New England needs foster homes! As a shelterless rescue, we don’t have a building where our dogs are housed until they get adopted. We are lucky enough to have loving families who open their hearts and homes to our dogs until they are placed, but we need more foster homes so we can save more dogs. If you can’t foster, we’re always looking for volunteers to help with home visits, s

creen applications, and to help with special events, so there are lots of ways you can help. Every month we save dozens of wonderful dogs from local and Southern kill shelters and place them in safe, nurturing homes. Please consider joining us in this effort; we would love to have you!

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲.
Meet Otto
a Collie/Shepherd mix fellow who is approximately 9 weeks old and 10 pounds.

Otto and his sister Olive were found as strays in Georgia and found their way into the county shelter. Until our southern rescue partner just can't stand their cuteness and got them to safety.
Olive is adopted and we are hoping to find a family to welcome Otto!

Otto and Olive are happy, playful, SMART pups who will do well with any family with the patience and time to train them. And the time to clean up shedding fur :). They will do great with other dogs, and while they haven't been around kids in southern foster they are young and eager to learn so we know they will be just fine. These two cuties will make lucky families very happy!!

Meet Charlotte Button
a 10 week old, Lab / Hound mix, who weighs about 15 pounds. Charlotte Button is one of 2 remaining pups from a litter of 11 pups who were born to their feral momma. Their momma was a Black Lab mix, who has shorter legs. These pups born in our care and bottle fed - so they are very well socialized and are all about snuggles & love!

These girls are so sweet and friendly. They have been fostered with kids and love everyone they meet. They are currently living with other dogs and cats, as well, and get along great with everyone. Charlotte Button is hoping to find a loving family who is looking for a pup who is a playful couch potato. These girls will need families who are committed to their training since they are still young.

She will make a great companion!!"

Bear Knox and his brother, Jett Knox, were surrendered due to landlord issues. They were previously living in a loving home, and are now looking for a new loving family to call their own!

"The Knox boys are so sweet and loving! They love attention and are your typical Labs who love to run and romp around. These boys would do great with an active family because they are always on the go! They have also previously lived with children, and loved it. These boys are very well socialized and very friendly. But they also are able to settle down when they need to. They are both gorgeous boys on the inside and out and Bear Knox can't wait to start his next chapter with his new family."

Given his breed, he can be easily distracted by smells. He has the face and ears of a Bassett hound, but he has longer legs, like a lab. George is always ready to make new friends. He is great with other dogs but would prefer to be in a cat-free home. Meet Nedi Noble and her siblings!
They are an unwanted litter, who are about 10 weeks old and are German Shepherd mixes. We included a picture of their momma who was a beautiful, black GSD. As of 4/14/25, Nedi Noble weighs about 9 pounds.

These pups are SO fluffy and snuggly! They are your typical playful puppies who are so lovable. They have been living outdoors and will need families who are committed to their training, and helping them learn what it means to become a family member and live indoors. Every day with a NOBLE pup is sure to be a paw-some adventure!

We have reported over and over. There is zero way to reach a human being at Venmo so we have done all the obvious stuff like change passwords and sent them an email with screenshots.
We have even changed our "mission statement" to say WE WILL NEVER REQUEST MONEY FROM YOU THROUGH THIS APP - but Venmo server refuses to accept it or anything close to it.

These little bundle of joys make every day brighter!

The Merry litter is a group of almost 6 month old, Lab / Hound mix puppies who were found as strays on the side of the road. We included a group photo of the 10 pups when we originally found them on the side of the road. They were scared and hungry, but now they are all happy and healthy and ready to find their forever families!

Mocha Merry
currently weighs 14 pounds (as of 3/23/25). These pups are super sweet and love getting attention. They will return the favor by smothering you in their puppy kisses. They love to play with their siblings, balls and dog toys. They will need families who are committed to their training, but we know that they will adapt to their forever homes quickly!

Poor Finn was found abandoned on a country road in Georgia. He was so emaciated (as you can see in the last picture) that he had rickets in one of his legs from malnourishment. But our rescue partner scooped him up and gave him the love and great food he needed, along with a little time and a split, and now he and his leg healthy and well.

This boy loves everyone and everything! It would be his dream to have kids to play with because he adores children. And he is wonderful with dogs and cats too. He is the full package.

He is doing great with training skills - he knows sit and is doing a great job learning that going to the bathroom is an outside activity.

Meet Leesa!
This sweet, smart, and silly girl is full of personality and love. Born in February 2024, she’s still a puppy at heart—but already crate trained, house trained, and eager to learn.
Leesa adores people and thinks she’s a lap dog despite her size. One of her favorite things to do is plop down in the grass, roll onto her back, and grunt and bark with joy—it’s her daily comedy routine! She’s highly food-motivated, which makes training fun and effective, and while her leash skills are still in progress, she’s come a long way and continues to improve.
She gets along well with other dogs, though due to her playful (and sometimes clumsy) nature, we recommend supervision around very small dogs. She hasn’t met cats up close, but she has seen them through a baby gate without much reaction. Because of her size and excitement level, she’d be best with older kids.
Leesa would thrive in an active, engaged home that wants to include her in daily life—whether it’s hiking, training, or just hanging out in the yard. She’s incredibly bright and would benefit from continued guidance and structure to help her grow into the amazing companion she’s meant to be."
