We are two brothers from Sugar Grove, Illinois, with a passion for crafting and creating. Our products are all US made, using locally sourced wood, metals, plastics and other materials. Our garage workshop is equipped with a laser cutter, CNC machines, 3D printers and an abundance of shop tools. Wi

th the encouragement and support of our father, we are quickly carving out our own trade, and turning our passion into a profitable enterprise. Zak is an industrial engineering major at the University of Iowa, with a minor in business administration. He’s the organizer and puzzle solver of the team, always finding the most efficient means for fabrication. His leadership skills have helped propel the business, leading to a retail partnership and other business opportunities. Ian is a middle schooler with autism who loves being a maker and coming up with new project ideas and designs that speak to his interests. Being quite focused and persevering himself, Ian works diligently to bring his ideas to fruition. He is the mastermind behind our Innovative Protocraft Dog Tags. A lover of all animals, but especially dogs, Ian wanted to create unique and fun dog tags for our animal friends. The employment outlook is bleak for kids like Ian – in total the combined unemployment and underemployment for young adults with autism is estimated at 90 percent nationwide. It is our hope that being at the helm of his own company will help Ian beat that statistic and lead a life replete with a satisfying career, viable income and valuable relationships.
