Thank you Hailey & Amber for allowing us to set up shop! Hailey also guided me in what sweet ol picky Saul might like for food. He loved the first thing I opened! Hailey a chose highly palatable frozen (but quick thaw) food as well as a few other types of food he might like, along with lots of samples geared toward Saul’s needs. The customer assistance from these experts is amazing!

Saul has a full belly of really good healthy food tonight! GRATEFUL FOR ROO’S!!

And of course, extremely grateful for Good Ole Dogs for the donation of the supplies that make up the Warming Baskets we are able to sell to you for the rescue at an insanely low price!!!

WE HAVE WHEELS! Just conditioning him to get used to it! He was wagging his tail & shuffling his feet. Just getting him used to the process of getting in and out at first before we “take off!” He didn’t hate it!

TUDOR: Tudor is an old guy looking for a couch to spread out next to his master. He’s a lover! Gives kisses and hugs and looks at you with the sweetest smile!

He’s a good, sweet dog. He has survived heartworm treatment & tumor removal. In his prior life, he was a victim of abuse, but he shows no anger toward his past, only love for his future! He looks at you with such love and adoration. Tudor is about 8 years old.

We want Tudor to be an only dog. Not because he’s aggressive , but because he is more human focused and his perfect fit would be with his human(s), as the old sweet dog lying at your feet. It’s time for him to relax in a loving home. Fence required because he loves to wander and smell the smells!

Tudor hasn’t had a DNA test but I am guessing he’s a Boxer mix, as he resembles past boxer mixes and has a Boxer temperament: overgrown teddy bear that thinks he can fit your lap! No cats. He’s not fond of them!

He’s about 65 pounds. Not a tiny! He will make your heart so full with his curious crooked smile and outpouring love!

At Grateful, all dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered & microchipped.

DIESEL: Diesel is a treasure!! Positive energy to the core. He loves everyone he meets, and greets everyone with love. Potty trained and walks well on leash!

Very dog friendly! In fact Diesel needs a home with a playmate! He enjoys zooming around the yard playing chase, playful wrestling, NEVER BITES. He’s a gentle but very energetic playful playmate. Diesel is submissive and will roll on his back when meeting some dogs. Cat friendly.

FENCE REQUIRED! Diesel obeys a fence well but loves to run and play. He needs boundaries!!

Human lover! Diesel loves with all his heart! He curls up under your arm and loves being petted and massaged. He’s not all energy. He’ll settle in your arms quickly & give kisses!

He’s about 40 pounds, knee high. Breed unknown, but 100% good dog!! I can’t find one negative trait in this beautiful boy. About 3 years old.

BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE!! Our time is short and sweet outside these days, and our photographer (🙋🏼‍♀️) does NOT like the cold! But please don’t forget our wonderful dogs looking for their forever homes! They are SUCH GOOD DOGS!

CHAMP: He is a VERY SHY 2 year old Husky/Shepherd mix. NOT YOUR TYPICAL HUSKY. Not a fence jumper or roamer. He wants to be by your side and lies at the door when you’re inside!

Champ loves with all his heart once he feels safe. Not an aggressive bone in his body. When he’s fearful, he cowers and shies away, he’s not bitey. He fears strangers terribly. Even trusted loving family members he knows well, he is cautious around. He follows Mike around but like 10 ft back.

I am his love, so he jumps on me, kisses me and leaps for joy when he sees me. THAT’S WHAT HE NEEDS! Champ will need a very special fit, but the right fit will own a dog that will change your heart forever. His gentle soul will touch you to the core! He wants to lie with you, feel safe with you and play with you. He is literally the best dog! And loves with all his heart!

VERY LOW TRAFFIC HOME would be best for Champ and loving patient parent(s). Ideal fit would be a single or couple with one kindhearted dog. HE NEEDS A GENTLE PLAYMATE! His companion Jazzy just left and he misses her. He enjoys milling about, playing a little, and relaxing on the porch together.

FENCE REQUIRED. If he got spooked and ran off, he would be nearly impossible to catch. Again, he never challenges our fence. He doesn’t want to escape and in the right home, will do the same.

Multiple meetings required for adopting Champ. He needs to form an initial bond and trust before he goes to live with you. Champ is a treasure.

Christmas is less than 2 weeks away and we are hopeful that Jillian will be able to celebrate in her own home with her forever family. This shy, sweet girl has never experienced the joy and love felt around the holidays, because at just 18 months old and 19 lbs, she was used as a breeding mama, living in a cage in a cold barn, raising puppies to be sold by her breeder. Those days are behind her now, but her sad eyes long for a loving home to call her own. Jillian’s friend, Jackson, went home last week and now it’s her turn! Jillian ( as with most puppy mill dogs, is shy and takes time to warm up to new people, however she LOVES other dogs her size ( see video in comments). Her ideal home would be one with a retired person or someone who works from home, has another confident dog for Jillian to learn from, no children or older children, a secure fenced yard, and a person who will give her the time and patience to settle in.
