These little ladies have been hanging out in a fosternhome together and are now ready for their forever home!
They are 5 months old, vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

Come meet them Wednesday-Friday 11-4pm and Saturday 10-2pm.

Puppies Available Soon!!

They will be at the shelter on Saturday, January 11th, from 10-2 pm to meet them.
Dad is a 90-lb lab, and mom is a mini Australian Shepherd. 3 girls and 2 boys are available. They will be large dogs. They will need slow intros with other animals and children. They are almost 5 months old. Applications can be filled out at www.palspets.net

Happy National Labrador Retriever Day!
We have 2 sets of sibling lab mixes up for adoption.
Buddy and Regina are 2 year old large lab mixes. They would love a big fenced-in area to run. Their leash skills need improving. They both do great with other dogs, Regina prefers male dogs, and both have done good hanging out in the cat room. We recommend a family with older kids due to their size. They both are excited coming out of the kennel but calm down quickly.

Jack and Jill are believed to be 1 year old Lab/basset hound mixes. Jack has very short legs but the body and head of a lab. Jill is slightly taller with a bunch of loose skin. They love running around with other dogs and have been good in the cat room. Both love to use their noses and follow wherever it takes them. They still act very puppy-ish and will benefit from consistency.

We will be open for dog meet and greets 10-2pm on Saturday or by appointment.

New to the Adoption Floor!
Mufasa, Simba, and Taka are 3 month old brothers. They have been in a foster home with their 3 sisters while waiting to be vetted. These boys are super sweet once they warm up to you.
Ramps is a 4 month old kitten who was in a foster home with his 2 sisters. He is curious about his new surroundings.
Pablano is a 9 month old teenager. She is energetic and would love another cat to play!
We are open Wednesday-Friday 11-4pm and Saturday 10-2pm for cat adoptions. Dog adoptions by appointment only.

These 5 have two thing in common. They were all adopted and then returned to us months or years later and they are all 2 years old.
Cloud is a sweet, timid girl. She spends most her time watching everything going on. She was returned due to her owners health.
Florence has tortie-tude. She is not a fan of other cats or dogs and will let you know when she has had enough.
Stinkor was tossed on the street when his owners moved and was brought back to us due to his microchip. He is a big, lovable guy. He originally came in with as a kitten who had been sprayed by a skunk.
Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum were from our Alice in Wonderland litter. They are bonded brothers who we would love to find a home together. They are sweethearts.

Come visit them Saturday 10-2pm, Wednesday-Friday 11-4pm or by appointment.

Help! Our Kitten food containers are empty! We will take any dry Kitten food brand. It can be dropped off at the shelter anytime by placing on our front porch or by the main entrance door.

Ending 2024 on a high note!
Queen B was our final adoption of 2024!! Seemed very fitting for her royal highness.
After spending 535 days at the shelter, Comet found his family in time for Christmas!

We ended the year with 141 cats and 69 dogs adopted!
We would love to see your animals in their forever home!

Today is our last day for half off adoptions! We will be open from 4-5:30pm for dog/cat adoptions!

Waylon and Regina are inching their way into being our longest dog residents.

Waylon is a 9 year old Wire-haired Jack Russell Terrier. Don't let his age fool you, he is still full of energy! Waylon has a very high prey drive, especially towards cats and squirrels. Waylon would love a yard or daily walks. He can be picky with other dogs, so a meet and greet with them would be necessary. Waylon is not a couch potato, he spent most of his life in an outdoor kennel and will take time and patience for inside living.

Regina is a 2 and a half year old Lab mix. She is very tall and lanky and weighs around 80lbs. She does need to gain weight. She is calm inside and has done great with kids. She does need help with leash pulling, but that will get better with more frequent exercise. Regina does good with male dogs and ignores cats. She would make a great farm buddy.

We will be open Thursday-Friday 11-4pm and Saturday 10-2pm for cat adoptions. Dogs by appointment only unless noted.

Our longest litter!
These 4 are the last from our 12-pack of pop litter. They were found on the side of the highway shoved in a pop box back in May. They are now 8 month old kittens. Pepsi is the runt of the litter. She is about half the size of the rest. She is stressed at the shelter and has been plucking her hair out. Pepsi spent the longest time in a foster home and loves to snuggle up at night.
Sprite, Pepsi and Mr. Pibb were fostered with large dogs. They all do great with other cats and are commonly seen in cat piles sleeping.
We included some persuasive paragraphs from 3rd graders at Favis Elementary on why you should adopt.

We will be open special hours Tuesday, December 31st for our last day of the be half off sale! Open 4-5:30pm for both dog and cat adoptions!

Queen B is our reigning longest cat resident. A crown nobody wants, except probably B. She is a sour patch, lures you in with her sweet face, and lets you give her a few pets. Then, with a flick of her tail, she growls and snaps. Somehow, she has still managed to wriggle her way into being a favorite of many. Queen B is 12 years old and has spent the past 13 months with us.

Cardamom is 18 months old and has spent 11 of those months at the shelter. He is an XL black cat who is bored of the shelter and would love a bigger area to run around in. He is slow to warm up to other cats , but a bigger area would do fine.

Genavieve came in as a very scared stray cat. But over the past 7 months, she has really flourished and came out of her shell. She loves pets and has been known to snuggle up with the other cats. She is just 2 years old and would love a warm place to curl up.

We are open Saturday 10-2pm for cat adoptions. We will be open Tuesday, December 31, 4-6pm for the last day of half off adoptions for dogs and cats!!

Newest Adoptables!
Carol and Burnett are a mother-son duo. Carol is around 3-4 years old. She is a lazy lady who loves napping and watching the world go by.
Burnett is a snuggly 5 month old love bug. He loves being held.
Cloud is a 2 year old white female. She was returned to us due to owner health and not very happy here. Cloud takes time to warm up, but once she does, she is friendly.
Come visit us Wednesday-Friday 11-4pm and Saturday 10-2pm. This is our last weekend for half-off adoptions.

Snow Day at PALS!

Thank you to Tylia Kaisand for donating the toys for our dogs. We were able to capture a few of them picking out their favorite.

Turn volume up for cute Tober noises! Tober was brought to Grinnell & Lynnville-Sully Veterinary Clinics after almost being hit by a car on Friday. He is a tiny baby weighing in at just 1.5 lbs. Tober is receiving treatment for an upper respiratory and eye infection. He is tiny, but his meow and purrs can be heard throughout the cat room! We have 60 animals available to adopt this week! Including 14 dogs and 33 kittens under 9 months old! Our Home for the Holiday Sale is still going on! Thanksgiving week, our hours will be Tuesday 4-6pm for dogs and cats and Friday 11-4 for cats only. Saturday 10-2pm for cats. Dogs are viewable by appointment only unless noted.

13 kittens were found in Kellogg and brought to us by a Good Samaritan. We could really use monetary donations to help with their care.

Come Volunteer with PALS!

Our Valentine Treat winners are... Spitfire and Bixby!! Spitfire got an extra special tuna pouch and a (probable) adopter! Bixby got a new dog bed! She had to fully sniff it over before curling up on it. Thank you to all those who donated a Valentine to our animals. We raised close to $400, which will help pay for spaying/neutering our animals.

Bam Bam is a high energy kitten! He would do great as an only cat with some dog friends. He is still at his foster home, please message us if interested in him. Scroodge would love a home with a confident kitten. He will be available to go home on January 31st We are open Wednesday-Friday 11-4pm and Saturday 10-2pm or by appointment.

Chowder is an amazing dog! He a little goofy, a little sweet and has a dash of ornery. He does great hanging out in the cat room and is dog-friendly. He loves people! He is guessed to be around 1 year old. Last weekend for our $50 adult dogs! We are open Wednesday-Friday 11-4pm and Saturday 10-2pm. Applications can be filled out at www.palspets.net
