Hello Friends and Family of Boston for the Dogs,
Hannalore here! I wanted to take a moment to check in with everyone and see how your summer has been. This past season, I took some time to step back from training, classes, and the dog industry as a whole. It was a period of healing and recovery for me—from burnout, loss, and a chance to focus on personal growth. I spent quality time with my own dogs, immersed myself in reading, and enjoyed the company of my incredible pony at the barn.
The past few years have been a rollercoaster of experiences—good, bad, ugly, and beautiful. I'm grateful for the evolution, even when it's been tough. I’m especially thankful for every single person who has been part of this journey (yes, that includes you). Together, we've learned, loved, and lost.
Today, I’m proud to say that we have a core group of clients, dogs, and friends who give me a reason to keep going. These dedicated dog owners have built their own community within our program. This summer, I witnessed them participating in activities like dock diving, fast CAT, enjoying drinks on patios, hiking, and simply being friends. These are people who never thought they could achieve this kind of connection, but because they showed up, trusted the process, and put in the work, they’re now out there thriving together.
As we move forward, I’m dedicating my time and the growth of Boston for the Dogs to continue rebuilding that trust, fostering our community, and honing those essential real-life dog skills.
I’m incredibly thankful for my team this summer—Gian, Emma, and Abby (who I already miss as she heads back to school). (And also welcome Kasey!) But my deepest gratitude goes to Braelynn, who has never faltered as my partner and, most importantly, my best friend.
For those of you who aren’t yet part of the Boston for the Dogs family, we welcome you. Come as you are, and let’s grow together!
