Meet Petey, the mini meathead! This dapper young man is a Staffordshire Terrier Mix. Our Sweety Petey is a true treasure to us but he needs to find his forever home 💜 He is dog friendly with the proper introductions, and loves a good wrestle match. He LOVES his people and is sweet with kiddos. Petey knows he's good looking so he loves to get attention! Don't let his size fool you. This little man has a BIG personality that you're guaranteed to fall in love with! Petey is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and in great health! Petey still needs some work on house training but we believe with a structured routine he'll pick it up fast. This guy is real big on exploring and truly has a mind of his own. He needs to live in a secure home as he frequently likes to channel his inner Houdini and perform escape tricks. As sweet as he is, he is still a young man. Petey's story🦴
Petey came to us out of a dire situation. He was homeless and scooped up with a handful of other dogs. Nobody claimed them so their names were put on the list ❌! With the help of he caught a ride to Oh Be Dogful! When he came to us this winter he was sickly and skinny. We thought he was a puppy, but after a trip to Mountain Legacy Veterinary Center we learned he was at least a year old! That's right this guy is puppy size for life! Naturally, we got him neutered and the learning began. Being on his own for so long Petey's manners were less than pleasant. He still gets really excited when he sees his humans but he's learned a lot of self control. His leash skills are amazing and he is very eager to learn more about the world! Can you help teach him?

Heeeeere's Ronnie! This guy is a young Border Collie mix who loves to party! Ronnie is just over a year old and came to us last summer. He was with a family for a short period of time but he has spent most of his growing days at Oh Be Dogful. We've loved watching him blossom into the awkward little weirdo he is but Ronnie needs a home to call his own forever! He is great with other dogs but he does like to play "ruff". He loves his people however, he does lack some manners. Ronnie needs a home with some patience for training and tons of activities! Being a Border Collie mix he's very smart and learns quickly. He also has LOTS of energy to burn! Ronnie is crate trained, potty trained, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccines! Meet Ferguson! Handsome and smart, this little man is quite the package. Ferguson LOVES to run and show off his working skills. He's housebroken, crate trained, and loves a yummy snack. Ferguson is a Border Collie/Heeler mix who recently celebrated his first birthday. He's a very active young man and is looking for someone to keep his brain entertained, and keep him tired! Hey guys, I'm Oliver 🐾
I'm a really lovable, hunky guy looking for someone to cuddle and explore with. I moved to Colorado last summer with a couple of friends and I've fallen in love with this place! I get to sunbathe year round, chase critters, and roll in the snow. All in one place, how cool is that?! It's just so beautiful here! I like posing for photos in the nature🧡.
Even though I'm a little awkward sometimes, I've heard it's one of my best qualities. I have a couple BFFs at oh be dogful but I think I'm ready to find one that can take me home so we can cuddle on the couch after we go on some adventures. Maybe we can share some snacks too, because I REALLY like snacks! But if I'm being honest my favorite thing is affection. I kinda turn into a puddle if you scratch my head and hold me close. And if you already have some dog friends, that's cool. I have a lot of fun playing with dogs and I'm really good at making friends! Like I said, I'm a really lovable guy 🧡

Do you remember these two? They're a little less floppy and a lot more beefy...It's Oliver and Luna! Brother and sister, these two started out as pups here at Oh Be Dogful Rescue. They found their forever homes in no time and are living their best lives in the valley. Oliver works part time at Skyhigh Offroad. Luna lives the lavish life with her adorable sister Muffin! We get to hang with Oliver on a weekly basis for daycare but it's quite a treat when Luna tags along too! Way to go you two 💜

Hi! 👋 My name is Spot! I'm a pretty nervous guy but my friends at OBD told me if I put myself out there I could find my forever home! I'm not really sure what that is but from what they tell me it sounds really safe and cozy 💜
I've lived in a shelter for a long time, so I'm unsure of the world. But I would really like to explore it! I think that's why I love walks so much. Getting to see and smell new things is really really cool! But I always stay right by my humans because that's where I feel the safest. I also got introduced to the world of snuggles. It's kind of weird at first but after a few tries I found out this also makes me feel safe. The humans really like it when I nuzzle into their neck so that's where I always put my head. I've made a few doggo friends since I've been at OBD too! Again, it's scary when I first meet them but once I get a few good sniffs in I feel pretty confident. Oh, and car rides! Those are really fun too! I love the way that the sun comes through the windows so much I almost fell asleep sitting up ☺️ Anyway, I've learned a lot since I came to Oh Be Dogful last summer. My name was put on a list, I wasn't really sure what that meant, but they told me I was going to Colorado and I was going to be safe. I'm really happy I came here, but I think I would like a forever home 💜

Momma Ava pupdate! Remember when this beautiful girl got an infection? After some testing and just the right antibiotic Ava is healed! Can you believe this girl is STILL searching for her forever home?!
Momma Ava came to us with 8 puppies. She was a frail young mom but she beat the odds and raised them well! Ava has a lot of love to give, although she comes off a bit strong at first. She has a big bark when she meets new dogs but with the proper introduction she's ready to play in no time. Oh boy does this girl love to play! There's nothing she loves more than a yummy snack and some cuddles after a long day of play. Ava is up for any adventure. She makes a great copilot and loves to feel the wind on her face. She still has some manners to learn on leash but with a little bit of patience, she's a quick learner!

When you live in the valley, it's always an exciting day when the UPS truck pulls up in your driveway. But the other day was especially exciting for the rescue! Our UPS man thought our sanctuary dogs deserved an outdoor furniture upgrade. That's right, personally gifted 4 brand new hammocks for our dogs. What a thoughtful and loving gift! You've truly touched our hearts and we can't say thank you enough. Our sanctuary dogs, Arlo, Pancake, and Nala were happy to pose for photos at their new favorite lounge spots 💜

We are so sad to share that on Sunday, November 19 we lost our friend and fellow dog lover Kelli Lightfoot to cancer.

Kelli has been an Oh Be Dogful family member from the beginning. She help found the rescue, helped care for our community dogs, shared her pet art and sat on our board of directors. Our bond through the love of animals is unbreakable. We are devastated to lose this special soul.

We are thrilled to share that Kelli’s surgery on Wednesday was completely successful in removing 100% of her tumor. Her neurological function tested at 100% and she is up and around the hospital with minimal assistance. She will be released by Friday afternoon. Best of all, she is free of the debilitating headaches. Kelli is officially on the road to a full recovery and her friends and family could not be more grateful. Thank you all so much for your generosity, kind words, and positive vibes! It truly takes a village from near and far and our girl has felt all of your love 🩷
