We foster homeless dogs and cats and try to find them new forever homes in the Gunnison Valley.

‼️Calling all dog lovers‼️
We are looking for doggy devoted humans to fill both full time and part time positions as a doggy daycare attendant. Morning and afternoon shifts available. No experience required but it is a plus!
What does a daycare attendant do?
🦴Maintain a peaceful, happy & controlled play yard
🦴Maintain a clean space for pooches
**This includes scooping 💩 and cleaning chores around the facility.
🦴Help the dogs stay hydrated. Maintain clean drinking water throughout your shift.
🦴Provide ear, belly, & b***y scratches upon request.
🦴Treat every dog in our care as your own!
If you have a dog, bring them along to work with you! We offer great perks for employees as a dog owner.

‼️Attention Senior Dog Lovers‼️
Our sweet Perla has recently turned 16! We would love to give her the opportunity to live out her last years in a cozy home being smothered with affection. Don't let her age fool you, this girl hardly acts 16.
Perla is still fast as lightning, alert, and loving. Perla loves to nuzzle into a pile of blankets after a nice long walk. When given the opportunity she loves to show off her strong long legs! If the sun is shining that's about the only thing she cares about. She says sunshine naps are her anti aging secret 💁🏼‍♀️
Perla would need to be the only pet in the her home. She is not a fan of other animals but she LOVES people!
If you've followed Perla's story you know she was previously in a home for a long time. Before this she spent the first 7 years of her life in a shelter. Her family had to make a hard decision when their living situation changed. OBDRS welcomed her with loving arms as a typical shelter would not have been successful for Perla, given her age and that she is not dog friendly. So we'll say it again, Perla deserves a 🏠!

Sweety Petey is still searching for his forever home!

Petey was rescued amongst a group of dogs living on their own. When nobody claimed him his fate became dark and he was put on a list ❌ With the help of Petey made the trek to OBDRS. He was sickly and didn't understand much about being cared for by humans. That was 380 days ago! Since then he has become a strong healthy pup who has learned to love unconditionally!

Oh hey der, I'm Roger! I was jus' wonderin' if maybe you wanna go on a walk sometime? It's pretty much my favwit thing to do. I gotta warn you doh, once we go for a walk you will pwobably fall in love 💙 Lemme tell you a wittle bit 'bout me!
I'm 8 1/2 years owld. I fink they call me a Mastiff mix. I used to have a home, but it wasn't a gweat match fo me. So I been staying at oh be dogfoo' until I find the right one. I'm really super playfoo and happy, but I gotta be honest I don't like doggos that are bigger dan me. Oderwise, I pretty much play wif anybody 🤷 When I get really excited I like to channel my inner snake and I get all wiggly and it looks really goofy and makes hoomans smile. That's why I do it. I like to make my hoomans smile! So yeah, that's it. If you wanna take me up on dat walk jus' get in touch wif oh be dogfoo'! I can't wait 💙

Our Paw Patrol babes had a busy weekend! The sisters are taking on Buena Vista!
🚨Skye flew her way into the hearts of her new family 💓 She's got herself a new big brother along with a fluffy cat, and from what we hear she hit it off instantly with everyone!
🚨Chase is ready to take charge with her new mom and become an office dog at Copper Mountain. She can't wait to meet all the new people on the slopes!

✅The rescue dogs of OBDRS made the nice list! 🎅🏼
They've banded together and made a wishlist for Santa Paws. You can find it hanging with all their photos on the adoptables board on Elk Ave.
✅Their list is quite simple. These sweeties have only wished for food, treats and some supplements to keep them nourished and healthy this pawliday season.
✅Add an item from the wishlist to your purchase. One of Santa Paws' elves will pick it up at Mountain Tails for delivery to OBDRS on Christmas!

OBD got a call for help and our first thought, "No job is too big, no pup is too small!" So we welcomed this litter of 6 with happy, giddy faces. We would like to introduce our ladies first , Skye and Chase 🩷. Then the 4 boys, Rubble, Rocky, Marshall, and Zuma 💙. These little nuggets have their first round of vaccines and are posting up on the lookout for their forever homes! They've got some dense fluffy fur, paired with the perfect amount of chunk!
