We have a big update regarding our work to stop the painful, deadly animal experiments conducted by Elon Musk and his company Neuralink! We just learned that the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission has reopened an investigation into the company—almost certainly because of our work. As you know, it was the Physicians Committee that first brought Neuralink’s experiments to light.

Please urge the agency to fully investigate this issue!

SUPPORT THE FDA MODERNIZATION ACT 3.0
The FDA is not properly implementing the law, and it's causing needless and excessive torment of beagles, primates, and other animals in new drug approvals.
Remember, Congress passed the FDA Modernization Act 2.0 in December 2022 to eliminate an animal-testing mandate for drug screening that had been in place since the Depression Era.

Now, more than a year after the law was enacted, the FDA has not updated archaic regulations that require testing on animals. Those regulations conflict with the plain language of the law.

A group of bi-partisan members of Congress is leading an effort to tell the FDA to do its job. That includes organizing its internal operations to be ready to qualify non-animal-testing methods and putting them to work in the real world.

Interesting though I found this on the Charles River Management link Charles River is committed to operating its global business ethically and with integrity in accordance with all applicable laws, directives, regulations and codes to prevent the abuse of human rights and to prevent human trafficking and modern slavery. So what happened to their ethics and commitment against trafficking and slavery ? I guess their ethics go out the window where a profit is to be made with the monkeys.

Not everything in Texas should be bigger. Charles River Labs’ new building plans are proof of that. You can help save tens of thousands of monkeys before it’s too late.
