On behalf of Nicole and her family we would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season and healthy new year. Unfortunately, it is a sad time of the year for Nicole and her dad thanks to a couple of real winners who ended up being selfish nurses whose hearts were obviously closed off to any kindness, compassion and goodness during this magical time of the year. They ruined my daughters Christmas. These 2 nurses decided to quit if they didn’t get their own way from the healthcare agency that hired them to look after the well-being of Nicole's good health. What kind of people are these? You call these nurses?
So, what did these 2 nurses do? They chose to use Nicole as a pond so she couldn’t come home for Christmas unless they were given more money than the agency gave them. Who does that?
Just imagine the only healthcare agency that gave them an opportunity to work in the healthcare industry. These 2 nurses had the nerve to blackmail the agency. What’s sad about this whole picture is because the general public never experiences long term medical issues everyone thinks nurses and Doctors are HEROS.
I hate to inform the public when you have been in the healthcare system as long as our family has been, you realize you really find it hard to trust the healthcare workers in general. Especially if you have a suggestion, comment or opinion they get nasty. Who gives them the right to do this? It’s like a friend of the family stated to me, “why don’t you report them to the nursing college of Ontario. He went on to say why isn’t the government taking strong action by taking their license away from them.
As reported on the National news, the healthcare industry is slowly crumbling before our eyes, especially with a growing population which in trust these bedside nurses who not only lack communication skills, which is a dangerous precedent, but also failed to uphold their oath to society. Who gives them that power?
Nevertheless, these 2 nurses and their families should be totally ashamed of themselves for deliberately using Nicole's disability to blackmail us.
Their selfishness and heartless behavior has now left Nicole stuck in the ICU ward in when she should have been home by now celebrating the holidays with her loving family and group of friends.
All I know is the Medical Healthcare Industry has failed my family more than once. Doctors gave my wife and I bad advice by prematurely confirming us that Nicole would be born healthy. Doctors told my wife and I that she was cancer free. My wife died 10 months later. My eye doctor assured me that I would not lose my sight. 3 doctors were totally wrong about everything. They were unfortunately all wrong. I became blind after 18 months. They were wrong on all 3 counts. This is why I say people should not give healthcare workers the benefit of the doubt especially when we trust healthcare workers to be doing their job, instead of sleeping on the job.
In closing, Nicole and her family would like to extend special thanks for all the support the general public has given us, plus I would also like to pay tribute to the good nurses in the healthcare industry for helping heal patients back to good health.
