Long Beach community we need your help to try and find Aspen.

Aspen was adopted about five years ago now, and is a service dog for his mom. On Friday 22nd November he got out of the home and is now missing. His owners have tried everything to find him, and as you can imagine are frantic with worry and desperate to find him.

He is an older husky, friendly but shy. He is chipped and has a collar with a tag. Please please share this post, check NextDoor, ask around, and let’s try our hardest to help reunite this sweet boy with his family. Thank you ❤️

Priscilla the little frenchie needs our help! 🤕

Priscilla was recently found in the street (she is now safely in foster care with us) and as you can see she has quite a nasty skin infection, which we have now confirmed is a bad case of ringworm 😔

Please consider donating a dollar or two if you can, to help us cover the cost of Priscilla’s medical care so we can get this girl back to good health and ready for adoption.

Sweet Olaf has now been in foster care with us for almost a year and a half. We can’t believe it either! Time has flown by and this wonderful dog is still patiently waiting to find his people.

And what a truly wonderful dog he really truly is.

Olaf is a true gentleman, a kind natured, curious and affectionate guy. Olaf loves his humans so very much, and he tries to get away with being a lapdog (although he’s a BIT too big for that!) He’s an affectionate guy, and he loves to show off all the tricks he knows too, like sit, come, etc.

He walks nicely on the leash, and he loves to make doggy friends - dogs his own size tend to be his preference but he has smaller friends too. He has been doing really great on pack walks with other friendly doggies 🐾

Olaf is around 4 years old and weighs around 80lb and can’t wait to meet you! 😍

ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT! Waffles has found her forever home! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Waffles was found on the street by some kind Samaritans, who just fell in love her charming nature and sweetness, and couldn’t bear the thought of taking her to the overcrowded shelter. The group of friends fostered her between them for as long as they could, but eventually we were able to find Waffles a steady foster and work on an adoption plan.

We knew it couldn’t possibly be that long before someone saw the magic in Waffles that we did… and then we finally received that perfect application, and the rest is history! ✨

Waffles now lives with a new doggy best friend to play with (which we knew she really wanted!) and loving new owners to take her on all the adventures 🐾

We are overjoyed for Waffles and her new family ❤️

Welcome Priscilla! 👋

This sweet Frenchie girl was found in the street a few weeks ago by a friend of one of our fosters. She looks like she has a pretty bad skin condition, and we are looking into this now with our vets. We think she’s about a year old-ish, she’s very kind natured and we can’t wait to learn more about her and get her back to good health.

She is pictured here with her wonderful new foster parents, Karen and Frank, who stepped up to help her ❤️

Donut has been in foster care with us for months and has not had a single application enquiry 😭

Donut is a lovely little dog. She is equal parts playful and mellow. She’s an older gal but you’d never know it, her absolute favorite thing to do is to play fetch - that’s her love language! 💕

In the home she is happy as Larry to nap by your side while you watch a movie or work from home. She’s what you might call a good team player!

As much as her foster mom loves having little Donut around, we’d love to see her finally have a home of her own.

Sprout is still waiting to find her forever home 🏠

Sprout is a sweet, very loving and gentle medium energy dog. She is around 8 years old, 35 lb. She wakes up every morning with an infectious happiness, excited to start a brand new day with her people. Sprout may be eight years old but she is definitely a younger pup in spirit.

She absolutely loves to go running with her foster dad (she has recently joined his running group!) and going for long walks and adventures. She is very playful, she loves her toys and enjoys a game of fetch.

In the home she’s mellow and very affectionate. If she requests cuddles she will politely nudge your arm to remind you that she wants some love. She’s very gentle and loving, and her ultimate happy place is by your side. It’s funny how quickly her energy will change from sleepy to excited when you pick up that leash! She’s always ready for action.

In her previous home, Sprout didn’t get very regularly exercised or socialized. Out and about on walks, Sprout does still need some more leash training. She has been mostly uninterested in other dogs when outside, and has barked at a few, but considering her lack of socialization she is doing very well. She is very treat motivated and really wants to please her human, so with ongoing socialization and training she could learn to be more comfortable around other dogs.

Sprout is not 100% house trained. Again, sadly this is something that she just wasn’t really taught in her previous home. She knows to go on puppy pads, and as we mentioned before she is extremely smart and really wants to do the right thing, so with a little more patience and training we think she could learn what she’s supposed to do.

Sprout gets a little bit vocal when she’s left on her own, but does calm down after a little while. It’s just something that she’s not used to but she’s learning that being on her own is ok and she doesn’t need to be worried.

Sprout’s fosters speak so highly of her, and said she’s just impossible not to fall in love with. This sweet girl had a little bit of a rocky start to life but she has so much love to give, and so much excitement for life to share with you! ❤️

Finally some sunshine!

Waffles enjoys the sunny spot, and dreams of finding her forever home 🏠❤️

Waffles is just an absolute delight. She’s a real happy go lucky little character, who just charms everyone she meets each day. She loves to play and go for walkies, but she’s also a bit of a couch potato and loves to chill in the home 🥔

She’s a quiet girl with a very loving and gentle nature. We think Waffles would be a wonderful family dog, she’s great with kids! ❤️

She’s about 3 years old, and only about 33lb, so very pick-up-able and petite.
We just love this sweet baby!

Senior Donut is a great work from home companion 💤

Equal parts snuggle buddy and queen of fetch 🎾
Donut is the perfect blend of chill and active. The best of both worlds!

She may be ten years but she is very much still full of life and energy 🫶 Don’t let her age fool ya!

Donut would be a wonderful companion for someone who wants some love and company, but also enjoys having fun and throwing the ball around for her.

Welcome to where we re-introduce you to our ten Forever Foster dogs in our care. Say hello to Blanca 👋

Blanca was rescued along with two small dogs from a neglect situation, which was all around sad. She was owned by a Vietnam Veteran who had been reclusive for years and after being hospitalized for dementia, his children were able to enter his home. They found Blanca, laying in her own excrement, skinny, flea ridden and bleeding from ulcerated masses on her body. The veteran, who intended no harm to his beloved dogs, due to his condition was forgetting to feed them, clean them, etc and Blanca was left to fend for herself.

She has undergone numerous surgeries to remove the ulcerated masses, and sadly we found that she has terminal cancer. She has been so brave during her healing journey over the last several months Thanks to lots of love, TLC, quality nutrition, and incredible veterinary care, Blanca is now well enough to be able to enjoy the luxuries of rescue life.

Her favorite thing in the world is belly rubs, napping on her beanbag bed (where she nearly disappears while sleeping, it is adorable!) and her Forever Foster humans. Blanca is a gentle and soulful girl who will live out the remaining years in complete comfort and with the utmost care as a Live Love Forever Foster.

And the 2024 winner of ‘Best Puppy Eyes’ goes to… WAFFLES! 🧇

Waffles is the sweetest girl, and she’s still waiting to find her forever home. Shes a perfect size, around 32lb and we think she’s around 2-3 years old.

Waffles loves to play and go for walkies but she’s also mellow and quiet in the home. She loves to go for adventures but equally loves napping by your side 💤

She gets along with pretty much everyone she meets! Waffles would be a good family dog, she’s gentle and good natured around children. She loves meeting other dogs, although can sometimes get a bit TOO excited, so may need a little further training there with her manners (she just needs to learn that not all dogs want to play for hours! 😂)

She doesn’t seem bothered by cats at all 🤷‍♀️ and could maybe live with one! 🐱

In short, this girl is a gem. We can’t wait to see her settled in a loving permanent home where she can live her best life. She has so much love to give! ❤️

ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT! Newt has been adopted! ❤️🥳

Newt, then named Peanut, came to us as their owner was unwell and going through treatment, and was not able to give Newt the time and care that he needed. It wasn’t easy for them to give up their pet, but they wanted to make sure that he had the best life he could have.

We have kept in touch with them throughout the process and now we are happy to say, that the brother of Newt’s original owner has stepped up to officially adopt Newt ❤️ So he will stay in the family after all!

We’re always happy to reunite dogs with their original families if we can, and in this case it’s absolutely smiles all around! 🥳

Welcome to where we re-introduce you to our ten Forever Foster dogs in our care. Say hello to Lala 👋

We first met and rescued Lala in 2019 from Long Beach Animal Care Services. LaLa was jut skin and bones...diabetic, severely emaciated, partially blind and was clearly not getting the medical care she needed. The first day Emily, our founder, saw Lala in that kennel she pulled her on the spot, took her immediately to the vet, and had her snuggled in bed with her family that same night.

Lala’s diabetes has proved difficult to control over the years and has caused many complications for her, including a toe amputation, a leg amputation, and continual deterioration of her eyesight. She’s been through a lot, but with a dedicated and loving forever foster family by her side, she’s continued to go from strength to strength. Lala just loves life! And we are honored to keep her happy and healthy and enjoying every minute ❤️

The ongoing costs for Lala’s care are about $800 per month, due to her many medications and prescription food.

Sweet Billie (on the right) and her foster sister Sissi became instant best friends as soon as they met 🥰

Billie is such a happy, playful and fun loving girl 🥳
She settled into her foster home so quickly and smoothly, and loves enjoying playing with her foster canine siblings and charming every human she meets 🥰

Lovely Olaf has been in foster care with us for over a year now… he is feeling a little sad that he hasn’t found his forever home yet 😞

Olaf is a gem. An absolute gem. He loves to be with his people (belly rubs and snuggles are his favorite!)
and he’s very smart and knows many basic commands, like sit, paw, come etc. 👏

Olaf LOVES to make doggy friends, and he loves to run around and play with his buddies for hours! 🐾

He’s such a friendly sociable boy, he just makes everybody smile. He loves to go on walkies and adventures (and walks nicely on the leash) but he’s also chill and mellow around the home. He’s the perfect work from home assistance!

Olaf has waited so long and been so patient. We KNOW his people are out there!
