Foster family turned forever family! ❤️ Watch the moment Dorit reunited with her family after a brief stay with us! 😍🥰🥹🥳
Lovely lady Dorit originally arrived at the shelter last December after being found alone in the woods. Even being nervous, she was always the nicest girl. She quickly warmed up and her affectionate demeanor won over the hearts of our team. She even took turns hanging out in our offices just so we could spend time with her. After staying with her fosters consecutively since April, you could imagine how happy we were to learn they couldn't let her go!
Without our dedicated fosters, Greenhill could not provide loving homes to nearly as many deserving animals as we do each year. If you are interested in opening your home and fostering an animal, please visit www.green-hill.org/foster_care.
Our piggies need your help! We have quite a lot of guinea pigs up for adoption and going through our shredded paper fast. We are in need of small to medium sized paper shred (not newspaper) for our small animals bedding. Plus, they love to rustle around and burrow in it. If you have extra shred that you want to donate to our animals, you can drop it off at the shelter any day between 11 am - 6 pm.
Our models in the video are adoptable duo, Mocha & Willow, who are extremely friendly and outgoing. They are very loving, cuddly, and best friends looking to be adopted together. Learn more about them at www.green-hill.org/adopt_other.
Utah is heading to surgery this week with a long road to recovery ahead. If you would like to contribute towards his medical funds, donate here: https://bit.ly/GHS_Utah.
Utah's journey began when he took off running after his owner’s passing. After weeks of wandering, he was discovered severely undernourished, unable to use his hind legs, dehydrated, and covered in ticks. Utah is now receiving care and being kept comfortable at Greenhill Humane Society. He is scheduled to undergo extensive surgery in a few days to address the severe trauma and injuries believed to have been caused by being hit by a car.
Utah continues to amaze us that even while enduring pain, he still is seeking love.
Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of beloved pets. Thank you for your support!

Looking for a big, lovable companion? Look no further than Danno! This 100 lb. gentle giant may have some reactivity towards other dogs, but he is one of the sweetest pups you'll ever meet. With a little patience and training, Danno has the potential to overcome his reactivity and be the perfect furry friend. Meet special boy Arlo! This 2-year-old pittie stud is the happiest, friendliest pup around! He has severe neurological disease which causes him to have an abnormal walk in all four legs and stature. Our veterinarian suspects he has a congenital spinal abnormality or sustained a neck injury when he was young. Both of which are not expected to improve but can be managed with appropriate care. Even with these special needs, Arlo is a party animal! He is beyond excited for life and enjoys nothing more than playing with toys & cuddling with his people. He is up for adoption and looking for a loving family to give him the best home possible. His new home will need to provide a safe environment for him to thrive in and be prepared for potential future medical treatment. We know this joyful dog will provide endless laughs and adoration to his family. ❤️

UPDATE: LIGHTNING HAS BEEN ADOPTED! <3
#FeelGoodFriday Upon meeting Lightning you’d have no clue of the life-saving surgery she recently endured. A Good Samaritan found her and took her to the Emergency Vet Hospital in clear need of medical help. After her exam, she was diagnosed with a prolapsed uterus. She was then transported to us to receive an emergency abdomen surgery to treat her prolapsed uterus and surrounding areas. This surgery was crucial to Lightning’s survival. Thanks to the animal lover who found her and our friends at EVH for their care, Lightning was able to receive this life-saving surgery. She may experience a hernia or weakness in the future, but at this time she has completed treatment and is on her way to recovery. She is one tough kitty and deserves nothing more than a loving family to treat her like the princess she is. We are thrilled to announce Lightning has a pending adoption and is on her way to finding her new home!

🎉Congratulations to Lovebug and her new family! 🎉
We are thrilled to announce that the resilient Lovebug has been adopted in to a loving home! We want to thank our community for reading and sharing her story, resulting in this very touching adoption. Special thanks to Eugene Weekly for sharing her story this week.
We are able to provide care for so many animals like Lovebug, thanks to our supporters like you!
To find out more about supporting Greenhill, please visit us at: www.green-hill.org
Lovebug came into our care last month after being found by a good Samaritan, trapped in a crate, down an embankment, with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to the Emergency Vet Hospital and was provided critical care treatment. Once stable, she was transported to Greenhill Humane Society. Lovebug had several vertebrae fractures and multiple gunshot wounds to her neck and head. She has received extensive care here at Greenhill and is on her way to recovery. Bullet fragments still continue to surface, and Lovebug has had one of her eyes removed, but she has incredibly high spirits despite what she has endured physically and mentally.
Every day spent with her provides more hope that the worst of her journey is behind her. She truly embodies the meaning of resilient. During this ongoing recovery, she has shown a willingness to trust again, and allows our care team to handle her with the most gentle, positive attitude. Her recovery will continue to be lengthy and ongoing.
We are confident that with your help, we can find the right person or family to provide her with a loving home for the rest of her life. In return, she will give you unconditional love and affection.
It is because of our community's generous and compassionate donors that we are able to provide high levels of life-saving care to animals like Lovebug. To learn more about Lovebug’s story and needs please visit us at www.green-hill.org/adopt_dog/
Lovebug's adopters will receive a medical consultation with our veterinarian to better understand her conditions and to set both her and her new person up for success.
If you are unable to adopt at this time, but would like to support care for companions like Lovebug, please consider volunteering, fostering, or donating at https://www.green-hill.org/donate/
