💸 Support Financially: Every dollar counts! Donations go directly toward food, shelter, medical care, and more for animals in need.

📸 Share Your Love: Share ways to support your local animal shelter with your friends or post a pic with your adopted pet, using , to inspire others to join in! If your pet is from Greenhill, feel free to tag us!

Additionally, we want to thank our amazing, caring Greenhill team for providing endless care and love to support our life saving work. 💚 Our staff, volunteers, and fosters are onsite every day providing behavior and medical treatment, daily walks and enrichment for the animals, reuniting families with pets, distributing pet food and supplies throughout the community, teaching the humane treatment of animals, and so much more. They work tirelessly to ensure the thousands of animals we see each year are cared for and thriving.

Together, we can show our shelters how much they mean to our communities! ❤️

Remember Bamm-Bamm? He is a handsome 7-year-old cat who was adopted a few months ago. He came into the shelter with a bad wound on his left front paw so our medical team and surgery team treated the area. Now, we are so happy to see him recovering and thriving in his new home where he can get all the snuggles he deserves! Congratulations Bamm-Bamm! ❤❤

Before people pull out those Halloween decorations and candy, it’s important to take note of the dangers certain common holiday traditions pose to animals. A day filled with candy, parties and scary costumes can be a tough day for pets. Greenhill Humane Society urges people to keep their pets’ safety in mind when planning their festivities this Halloween. Halloween may be scary but our kitties with ringworm aren't! In fact, ringworm is not a worm – it’s a harmless fungus that can be treated with meds (think athletes foot for humans)! 🧛‍🧟‍👻🎃 Meet some of our spooky movie themed kittens Dracula, Frankenstein, Freddy, Jason, Jigsaw, Samara, and Tiffany! These spooktacular felines all have ringworm and are up for adoption.

Through our ringworm program, we’ve noticed cats with ringworm experience swifter success when they go home with their forever families to complete their treatment. 🐱💚 For that reason, Greenhill is looking to find families to adopt these cats while still under treatment. There will be a special process for adopters including education about the cats’ care needs and adopters will be provided with training, medication and supplies to continue treatment in their homes.

Learn more about the cats up for adoption at www.green-hill.org/adopt_cat. Adoptions are every day from 11am - 4pm.

Learn more about ringworm at www.green-hill.org/ringworm-in-cats-treatment. We promise the bond you create will be special and you’ll have a lifetime with your new fungus-free family member!

From 10/20-10/26/2024, Greenhill Humane Society helped 45 animals find new, loving homes (30 cats, 13 dogs, and 2 birds). 🐱🐶🐦We are so happy for bonded cat pair, Oliver and Winnie, who had a unique skin condition, on finding their family! 💕🐈 We also helped reunite 16 lost animals with their families (12 dogs, & 4 cats).

Happy National Cat Day from purrfect girl, Luna! 🐱😻 This gorgeous 13-year-old senior kitty is looking for her special people and home. She has been relaxing in a foster home for a few weeks and as much as she loves it, she's ready to meet her forever home. She has blossomed into a very affectionate, sweet cat. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can be the only pet in the home and explore her new setting on her own pace. Once Luna is comfortable, she is the best cat.

Luna is part of the "Love is Priceless" promotion which means her adopter will get to establish her adoption price. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. If you would like to meet Luna, please give us a call so we can schedule a time for her foster to bring her in. Learn more at www.green-hill.org/adopt_cat.

Shelly is a gorgeous Sulcata tortoise who was found roaming outside as a stray just a few weeks ago. After we could not find an owner, Shelly was put up for adoption. We guessed she was likely under 15 years old but could live to be well over 120 so we knew she deserved a loving family committed to her health. After one day on the adoption floor, a family who is an avid turtle lover came in to take her home!

Shelly, now Rhubarb, is living the best life and has fit into her new routine wonderfully! Her family mentioned she is incredibly sweet, especially around the kids. “We love her SO very much!!!!! We feel so incredibly lucky to have her in our family.” They sent us this photo of Rhubarb helping set up the Halloween display and mentioned she will be wearing a balloon when she’s out so they never lose her.

Say hello to Timothy! 😀🐶 His goofy smile says it all! This handsome 2-year-old mixed breed pup is ready to meet an outgoing family looking for their forever adventure buddy. Timothy is super cute, goofy and has a zest for life. He loves romping around with other dogs and playing with toys.

During the month of October, we've partnered with Kendall Subaru of Eugene, Subaru of America, Inc., and ASPCA, so all dogs over one-year-old and select cats have reduced adoption fees. All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines prior to adoption. Greenhill is open every day from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. To learn more about Timothy and all his friends, visit www.green-hill.org/adopt_dog.

Fufu sure is one handsome bunny! 😍🐰 He is a sweet, senior bunny looking for a nice retirement gig and would be a great addition to a loving family! He is bold, adventurous, and loves nothing more than to hang out with his friends and get head scratches. He may be an older bun but still has plenty of hops left in his steps! He's a single bun, and would love a home where I can enjoy my golden years, with plenty of places to sniff and explore!

Fufu is neutered, microchipped, litter-box trained, and comes with a certificate for a free vet exam. Learn more about Fufu and all his friends at www.green-hill.org/adopt_other.

Greenhill's veterinarian team is performing 29 cat spay/neuter surgeries today for a specific managed colony in Eugene in partnership with Eugene Animal Services and volunteer Community Cat Caregivers. This single-day Trap-Neuter-Return event is being done to reduce feral cat overpopulation in a large, outdoor colony.

Eugene Animal Services and local community cat caregiving volunteers humanely trapped 29 cats and transported them to Greenhill for spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, parasite treatment, and an ear tip.

Greenhill’s high-quality veterinary care, including the ability to perform spay/neuter surgeries, is supported by generous donors. Monetary donations allow Greenhill Humane Society to provide the Trap-Neuter-Return program to those who need financial assistance. Donate to support this program at green-hill.org/donate.

It’s National Veterinary Technician Week and we raise our paws to our talented, dedicated, amazing CVT's, Brandy and Becky! These two compassionate humans play a vital role in preserving shelter animals' health and welfare by ensuring they receive the love and care they deserve. We could not provide the lifesaving work we do without their help!

We also wanted to take a moment to recognize our Veterinary Assistant, Rachel, who has so much passion and drive and is on her way to becoming a CVT!

Our shelter pets can agree, we are so lucky to have such kind, dedicated members on our team! Thank you for all you do! 💚💚
