CT's Dream Dairy Goats CT's Dream-
American Alpine Dairy Goats
Breeder, Owner, Farm Manager Many of our animals today relate back to our original founder doe Chaos.

Thank you for your interest in our herd, what started as a simple 4-H project back in 1994 has continued on for twenty eight years. We are a small farm of high quality american alpine dairy goats. The original name of the herd of CT's Dream (Christopher Thomas's Dream) was chosen when I was only eight years old. The goal is to keep the herd numbers to a minimum in order to focus on the highest qua

lity and ensuring personal attention to each animal. Thank you,

Chris Steele and Family

I have a 4 very nice alpines that I am offering at this time. I should have them sold fairly quickly, but would prefer that they go to a home that shows and or is involved with ADGA in some way.
If anyone is interested please let me know.

1 senior kid from this year
2 dry yearlings
1 dry 3 year old,
More are available if I’m pushed. Lol.

Kidding season is a tiring process for all.
This kid is a 10th generation animal that goes back to my very first doe as well as an unregistered alpine bred up to American.
ADGA has always an excellent registry for showing breeders how to improve over the generations and “breed up.” This line, my 4-H line…has always been my special project and I take great joy in seeing it improve.

Thank you to the countless individuals who have helped me along the way and made
CT’s Dream Prionyx (name pending) possible.
Prionyx is named for the wasp and comes from the bee family at redwood hills.

Her dam is CT’s Dream Xylocopa was bred to Shining-Moon Mercury and produced 2 bucks and a doe.
I am on cloud nine right now and couldn’t be happier with this breeding. Carol Campbell, I can’t wait for you to see her!

First milk test of the new year. While not outstanding numbers, I’m happy enough with the does. Many of them were 1 fresheners, and all under 1 month fresh.

CT’s Dream LOA Espionage
1st freshener 8.3 Lbs.
CT’s Dream RHZR Medusa (sale pending)
1st freshener 6.2 Lbs.
CT’s Dream Allegiance Mistrial
1st freshener 5.6 Lbs.
CT’s Dream Affirmed Mahubah
1st freshener 2 yo 6.7 Lbs.
Hoach’s RHRS Heaven Miracle
10th freshening 11 year old. 9.1 Lbs.
(She had mastitis a long time ago in the past and this is only from one half or her udder.)

I’m excited for next months tests as the remaining does will have kidded by then.

Why is it that udder shots always seem to look way better in person?
My doe Mahubah is raising two bucks, and today she actually had a lot of extra milk.
I can tell that I need to trim up her hair and give her a full 12 hour fill.
Still, I’m satisfied with this first freshener.

Well two more have joined the herd. Originally I was going to retain whatever Miracle gave me.
I was really hoping for a buck kid to become a new herd sire.

Let me start off by saying that everyone is healthy and mom is going to keep watch over them tonight.

The unfortunate situation is that these two boys have the wrong ears. Mom seems to have gotten in with the wrong crowd…oh how she likes those short eared bucks.
Originally she was bred to my alpine buck helios, and she seemed to not like that decision one bit.

🤷‍♂️ goats, sometimes I’m reminded that I’m the human, they are the one who makes the decision.

Last night was a very exciting night as I got to “help” ai three of my does.
I’ve always been very hesitant to do it and really it’s a fairly straightforward process that just needs planning and lots of practice.

While I personally wasn’t able to accomplish the tasks at hand, I am thankful for the help and people around me.
Thank you to Jenn And John. You two were great.
Fingers crossed🤞, my next post will be about pregnancy confirmations and these exciting bucks. 😉
