Carillons has had the pleasure to handle and raise Australian Shepherds over the last 40+ years.
Our Dogs have competed in Conformation, Obedience, Herding, Agility, Rally, and Weight Pull. They have trained for Search and Rescue, completed Temperament Tests, and attained CGC's. We strive for versatile dogs that can compete in all venues, as well as being excellent members of the family.
We took the girls to another FastCat Trial last weekend, and we brought Uncle Doug along for his first try. Sangria finished her BCAT on Saturday, and Ninja wasn't far behind, finishing her BCAT on Sunday. However, the family speed star for the weekend was Doug. In his first exposure to FastCat he averaged 24.5 MPH, and every run was faster than his previous. They all had a blast! Kudos to Top Dog for a very well run and efficient trial.
We had a great time at the NE TX American Eskimo Dog Assoc. UKC Show this past weekend. Both Ninja and Sangria finished thier UKC Championships. The puppies had a very balanced first show weekend. From the six shows, each puppy came home with three Best Of Breed Puppy wins and Benny was awarded a Best In Show Puppy under judge Nancy Eilks. Doug was a good boy too, and earned his first 10 points in UKC.

Picked up a few goodies at the Nationals ARPH booth today for the new toy hauler.

Had swim practice this weekend with Jordan's dogs at K9 Water World. Great facility, and everyone had a blast.
Taylor's truck is decorated for Halloween, so of course the girls need to get in the pictures.
Had a good conformation practice this morning, and then Taylor had to make a stop. These are the faces of addiction...
The girls attended an Introduction to Barn Hunt class at K9 Water World this weekend. Sangria thinks that this game could be a lot of fun. Ninja's not too sure about the rats, but our hay climbing and tunnel work the night before paid off. One of her zoomie episodes looped through the Master Level tunnel a few times without issue. Thank you to K9 Water World for the cool pictures.
For this weekend... Our first exposure to dock diving. Sangria was happy to take off swimming and even fetched a few toys from the ramp. Ninja didn't think that this clear water was quite as fun as the beach, and spent most of her time improving her swimming skills.
Sand drying appears to be a thing, and apparently it's awesome.
We know that our girls like water and their Mom, Veritas Swamp Queen of Hightide, is supposed to be a big fan. However, we only have a little kiddie pool at home and we didn't know how well they could swim. Solution? Beach Trip!
Ninja loves the water, but is not a natural swimmer. However, Sangria swims like a fish and kept heading out to sea.

Another good Conformation Practice today. We need to fine tune our stacking a bit more, but not too bad for distracted puppies. Followed up with a stop at Tractor Supply. The girls both thought that the noisy inflatable scarecrow with moving grabby arms was no big deal.
With all of their shots on board, this was a busy weekend of firsts for the girls. They spent Saturday helping with the "feed" shopping, going in & out of multiple feed stores, and meeting people. Then they went out to lunch at their first outdoor restaurant and practiced their best behavior. On Sunday, they went to their first conformation practice and got to see several new dog friends.
Ninja likes to take her time to check things out, while Sangria is much more fearless. Ninja also likes to bully her sister in play, but Sangria has ways of getting even. Sometimes she jumps inside the toy basket to block her sister from getting the toys. Other times she chases her sister with the scarry basket.
Who doesn't need a pool day to beat the heat?
