Did you know that Katmandu Paonia has a small adult shelter? This shelter started many many years ago and has housed and helped many adult cats find their forever homes. Katmandu is in the process of transitioning to Foster Only organization.

One of the adult cats that has been in the shelter for over 3 years is Mustache. This very handsome sweet boy finally got adopted 🎉🎉🎉
He went his forever home last week and is doing really well and is so happy!! He now gets to go out into a supervised yard area with his new brothers and sisters. He's such a handsome boy who FINALLY after such a long wait found the right family to love him.
It's a magical story from him showing up outside Pat's door (he chose exactly the right place) through patiently waiting for his person to arrive, to the joy of finding a forever home.
That's why his new name is Magic!

Did you know that different cultures have different beliefs around black cats. Black cats have positive associations in Celtic nations and England where a black cat crossing your path is considered GOOD luck. Scottish lore holds that a black cat's arrival at a new home signifies PROSPERITY, while Welsh lore states that a black cat brings GOOD HEALTH.
Do you have a black cat? Maybe you should adopt one so you could have all of those benefits and more.

Katmandu currently has 14 kittens! These are two of our babies we have available. Please share!

Marcie:
Marcie has become so friendly and affectionate with people! She is vocal about seeking out attention and is now one of the first to greet someone. She’s very playful with people and the other kittens, and would love a friend or someone who has time to give a little princess proper attention! She has such beautiful markings and eyes!

Frankie:
Frankie is still the shyest, but is slowly opening up around people and is much calmer than she was at first. She is becoming more confident by the day and is such a sweet lady. She’s also one of the biggest! She will need patient people willing to give her a chance to keep coming out of her shell. If someone sits quietly she gets curious and will come out to see what’s going on. She also accepts petting much more readily now. Frankie would probably do best with one of her more confident siblings!

We have quite the crew of kittens available for adoption. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for fiv/felv, and age appropriate immunizations. They are 100 percent ready to go home!

Linus:
If you’re looking for a social butterfly, then Linus is your kitten! He loves people and playing with the other kittens. He’s very curious and active. When he’s not busy playing, Linus is very happy to snuggle with someone and is always excited when people come into the kitten room. He loves all of his siblings, though he is confident enough to go to a new home solo.

Charlie:
Charlie is involved in everything! He is the “ring-leader” of the seven kittens and very confident. He’s ready to play with any kitten or person. He’s very enthusiastic about food, water, treats, and toys: really everything! He’s ready to explore and be a part of a household. He is outgoing enough to be a solo kitten, but would love another young cat to play with, if not one of his own siblings.

PJ:
PJ is the only semi-fluffy one out of the group, and also the smallest. Originally thought to be a girl and named Peggy Jean, we are now sure he’s a boy. He is absolutely charming and sweet: really just an adorable little fellow! He purrs more often than not and loves cuddling with a person. When people have spent the night in the kitten room, he has loved sleeping on the bed with someone, and stays pretty close. So if you’re looking for a snuggly boy, PJ is the kitten for you! He plays the most with Violet and Marcie, but likes everyone.

Marcie:
Marcie is shyer than Violet and her brothers, and is the second smallest of the seven. However, she’s smart and an enthusiastic player (and eater)! She loves toys and will play with both people and the other kittens. Due to being shyer, she would probably do best going with one of her brothers: PJ, Charlie, or Linus would be good options. She will require a little more patience as she continues to come out of her shell.

Shermy:
Shermy started out as one of the shyest, and is now one of the most social. He loves people and purrs very quickly. When he’s not hanging out with a person, he’s very curious and is a busy-body. He’s growing quickly and has comical proportions right now: we think it makes him extra cute! He’s the biggest of the bunch. He would love to be with another kitten or cat!

Frankie:
Frankie is definitely the shyest and most nervous of the seven kittens. She’s also one of the biggest! She’s very sensitive and sweet: she will need patient people willing to give her a chance to come around. She does come out usually for treats and/or wet food, and sometimes to play with a string. If someone sits quietly she gets curious and will come out to see what’s going on. Frankie would probably do best with one of her siblings, preferably her beloved brother, Shermy. If not Shermy, another more confident sibling could work too.

Sweet Zorro and his sister Zero are looking for their forever homes. They are spayed and neutered, microchipped, current immunizations, FIV/Felv negative, and ready to make your home more fun! Zero was found in a barn when she was about 3 weeks old and has been super confident since day one. She’s always wanting to be on you or following you around! Absolutely adorable! Her brother wasn’t trapped for another month so he doesn’t have as much confidence as she does but he’s coming out of his shell showing just how sweet he really is! He is really hoping someone will want to adopt them together so he never has to be separated from his sister again!
