We were wondering if you might need another idea for your Christmas tree!
We would also love to thank all of our Facebook friends and supporters who have helped us through this very challenging year. We are a small organization and we have had many personal challenges amongst us along with the increasing amount of cats and kittens that need our help. We couldn't have done the work that we do without you.
We would also particularly like to thank The AMAZING people that we have come into contact with who do the work of foster, TNR, the daily feeding of colony cats, providing transportation, and the difficult care of the very littlest ones. We feel blessed.
And to all of our friends who share our work and contribute financially - THANK YOU for making it possible.
Our wish for you this holiday season is love, light, laughter, and lots of good furry snuggles.

BIG NEWS!! Shadow is on her way to Fort Collins. She will be landing in the arms of Animal Friends Alliance who will be able to get her adopted very soon.
We are so happy for her and the three Tortie Sisters that after being in foster care here for so long they will finally be able to land in their forever home.
We are so grateful to Animal Friends Alliance and Corie Robertson for helping to make this happen.

WE GOT IT!
To all of our Facebook friends who have been so helpful in getting this project done, thanks to you we have the crates that we need for their transport and we also have a transporter. So the Sisters will be leaving sometime this weekend on their way to their new forever home! They will be staying with Animal Friends Alliance who will care for them until they are adopted. Thank you so much for your help. We couldn't do the work that we do without you and we'll keep you posted.

Remember The 3 tortie Sisters?
They were born in foster care. The three were adopted together and then their human died. We have been looking for a new home without success. We were able to connect with Animal Friends Alliance in Fort Collins. They have agreed to take girls and get them adopted!!
This is an outstanding organization and we are so thrilled at the opportunity for Bonita, Lita and Zita.

The help we need:
Transport the three girls either 12/20, 12/21, or 12/22. They will need to be taken from Paonia to Glenwood Springs (about an hour and a half). Someone from Animal Friends Alliance will meet you in Glenwood and take over from there.
We could also use a donation of large to medium transport crates. Animal Friends will bring exchange crates so the ones that they're sent in will not be returned.
We have plenty of small kitten size crates but these are adults and need a bigger area.

Pip is another one of our Christmas Cats who would love to make your home Merry and Bright for the holidays! He is super friendly and loves a good belly rub! Kind of like someone else we know 🎅. Pip is the best companion and does well with kids.

Here's a Christmas gift idea that will keep giving furever!
Meet Bonita the Beautiful! She is a Chocolate Tortie & still a youngster at a year and a half old.
Even though she is a bit of a Tortie Diva her foster mom says she's very affectionate and so sweet.
Bonita is spayed, microchipped, and current on all of her vaccinations. She is being fostered in Paonia and Pat would be happy to introduce you. 970-527-3424.

GOOD NEWS! After hearing no word from her previous owners this girl got adopted. She's been adopted to a family with three girls who can hardly wait to get their hands on her and will make sure she never wanders away from home again.

Meet this handsome Pip! Pip was rescued out of Somerset CO, after wandering the streets for about a month. Pip is neutered and super friendly. He rolls over when you enter the room and loves to sit in the play yard even when it's snowing. He's a big guy- 12 lb!

This beautiful boy would make the best companion and does well with kids.

We have some older 3-6 month old kittens looking for their forever home! One advantage of an older kitten is you can get a pretty good feel of their personalities at this age and still have a fun playful kitten. Lena our grey tortie is extremely friendly and outgoing. She will gladly sit on your lap and sleep with you at night! She’s pretty amazing! Maizy the long haired tabby is friendly, playful, fun, beautiful. Aurora, Nova and Zero

Aurora our dilute Tortie is so sweet. Would love to curl up and watch some tv with you with some playtime during the commercials. She’s a curious girl that likes to keep an eye on her people. Nova our sweet and playful Orange girl. If you know about Orange cats, you know they are awesome! Females only occur in about 20 percent of Orange cats, so she’s definitely a stand out girl with her beautiful long hair! These two will be spayed on Tuesday and ready for a home to call their own! Zero is a few weeks younger so she isn’t ready to leave yet but she’s ready to be preadopted! She’s an amazing tuxedo girl. Such a people cat. Look at this little fluffer!! It's Helen, she's the runt of the litter weighing in at 2 lb.

This is a sad story with a happy ending. The H's (Henry, Howie, Harriet, Helen) were born in Norwood. Their mama abandoned them!!! 😭 They were discovered by the Colorado KAT Coalition who were doing TNR in the neighborhood. They were rescued and brought in where they met Reba. Reba is a mama who lost her kittens. 😸 Purrfect!! And now here they are. They will be ready for adoption in a couple of weeks.

Sweet Aurora! She loves to play, pretend to be a badass, and cuddle. Oh and purr! She is really a sweet fun girl! Also not scared of kids at all!

About Katmandu

MISSION STATEMENT – WHO ARE WE?

Katmandu Paonia is a State of Colorado Non Profit Corporation! This is the first step in seeking IRS Tax Exempt status. We are a no kill organization. It is our mission to rescue and care for lost, abandoned or surrendered dogs and cats until permanent, safe, and loving homes can be found. We are a 100% volunteer run network of foster facilities. We pay no salaries, rent, or utilities.

Adoptable cats live and play at various foster homes throughout the Western Slope of Colorado until they find permanent homes. They enjoy specially designed cat-friendly free roaming communal environments with enclosed play yard, window seats and views. Kittens are in our network of evaluated and approved on-site foster homes where they remain until they are ready for adoption. Our fosters network to help each other find the best fit for their little ones. We pre-screen with an application and finalize with an Adoption Agreement. All are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for felvFiv.
